Aphmau's POV:
"I promise you mom, I'm fine for now. I just don't know how to feel," I said as I sat in the reading chair. I was reading a book on different kinds of magiks all across the kingdoms, as my mother said it was important to understand all different types of people, to bring them together. "I just want you to know, this isn't fully settled yet, they have to reply. Even though they'll probably say yes, they will only come after a month or two, so you do have some time to mentally prepare yourself." My mother was sitting on the couch, drinking tea and doing paper work. "I just...... need time to..... well, think I guess. If it is for the kingdom, I want people to be happy, to live a happy life, not one filled with fear, and war." My mother smiled a bright one, "You will make a great Lord some day." I smiled back, but on the inside, I didn't know what to feel.
I carried the book up stairs and sat down on my bench facing my vanity. I didn't necessarily know who the girl staring back at me was, she was beautiful on the outside, but broken on the inside. I braided my hair, put on a night gown, got into bed. I turned on the music box playing the old folk lullaby that was always played for little children across Phoenix Drop, as tonight, I needed to be reminded of what I really was.
Time skip one month
"Well, maybe, they'll be nice...?" Katelyn was trying to bring up my spirits as I waited in the ball room for my parents to bring the royal family of O'kasis. "I have a feeling that they'll be complete douches, Katelyn." I was about to walk over to Kawaii~Chan to rant to her, when the doors of the room opened to my parents and the whole O'kasis family trailing behind. "Welcome to the ballroom, I will let you all introduce yourselves, as I want to let people be open for themselves." She gave me a side glance, and I gave her a grateful look from my eyes, when the boy I met in the forest walked up to me. I was surprised, I had never thought I would see you again.
"Now, before you start introducing yourself," I start, "As she said, we can choose to introduce ourselves to one another. Since we will officially meet everyone tomorrow, let's keep it that way." We walk over to the long drink table, and he grabs me a cup of wine. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, "Well, we don't tell each other our names until we are formally introduced tomorrow." He grined as he finally understood.
"Well, if we aren't introducing ourselves, may I have this dance?" I reached out my had and placed it in his, "Yes, you may." He pulled me out as others did as well, dancing to a traditional song of our kingdom. He was smooth as his feet glided across the floor swirling me around, as my green dress waved around my legs. Once the song was over, I curtsied, "Thank you, I had a most enjoyable dance." We walked over to some seating to talk. "Are you always this formal?" he asked, "Oh, heck no, honey," I quickly revealed my true self almost whispering, "This is just what I do when guests come over, my mom makes me act like this for formal guests, but around my friends, I'm a completely different person hon." He laughed so that no one could hear him, and I took pleasure in someone to confide in. "Would you like to take a walk?" "Of course," he replied, taking my arm in his we sneaked around the rest of the party and walked out side.
"Wow," he exclaimed, "Phoenix Drop is beautiful, everything, it catches your eye." "Thank you, it's been a bit since someone has said something like that." I looked into his icy blue eyes that could catch any one in their trance. His sandy blond hair reflected the moonlight making it glow, and he looked handsome in the moonlight. I found a bench for us to rest on, him looking out to the horizon, me looking towards the rest of the town. The wind blew my long hair behind me, and I was refreshed by the misty spray of the ocean.
"Now Miss, I know that we got out here just a bit ago, but I'm afraid that they're missing us at the party." I was sad that it had to end, he was a nice guy. "Well Sir, I will see you tomorrow morning." With that I planted a kiss on his cheek, stood up, and walked back to the place I called home.

Author's Note
Hey guys, sorry this was kinda short as well, but I have a big plan for tomorrow's pt. 2, so be looking out for that, it will be up during the day as it is good Friday tomorrow. Sorry this is late, as I said, I had a performance, and I forgot to say that it does take me a lot of time to come up with ideas on how to lengthen situations so I don't skip to a larger part in the chapter. Also, since this is late, I am writing kinda late, so if there are spelling mistakes I am sorry, I will always try to catch them. Thank you for understanding,
As always, See you when I do!
