Aphmau's POV:

I padded down the stairwell, constantly scanning the area to see if anyone was around. As I got to the bottom, I was greeted by what looked like the final staircase to the dungeons, in a small room, that branched off into two different hallways. It had gradually gotten quieter as I was walking down, and I had a sense that most people were off to dinner, as I could see the sun gradually setting out of the many windows I had passed. I started to make my way towards the stair case, when I heard footsteps coming down the hall. Of course, I thought, only I would forget something as simple as people guarding the prison cell entrance!

As I realized this, I also realized that I had been a bit too slow, as someone behind me said, "And exactly what do you think you're doing?" I quickly turned around to see a man with chocolate brown hair, and hazel emerald green eyes staring daggers at me. He had a iron chest plate with emerald accents in the middle, and at the center of the collar. He had green and silver robes, along with a startling green cape that billowed when he ran, and he also had fingerless gloves, black ones. I stared nervously back at him, but replied as strongly as I could, "Doing what is right for my village," I stated, "And yours."

He quizzically stared at me, "Then why are you trying to break into the dungeons," he questioned, "Every O'kasian knows that that is against the law!" I could feel my face heating up, "Well," I said, obvious hurt showing on my face, "If I don't get this man back," my words sliced through the tension, "Not to mention, the man I LOVE," His face went blank at those words, "Both Phoenix Drop and O'kasis will suffer from ongoing war."

He opened his mouth a few times to speak, before finally saying, "How do you know?" I took a gulp, how would I hide my identity? "Well...... I....." He looked as if he thought he had won, "Exactly. Now, go back to your home, and return that armor, sword, and bow," he said, "Those belong to the worthy knights of O'kasis," he said, distaste in his tone at these last words, "Not to filthy thieves like you." Those words stung. Never in my life had someone called me that, never had someone had the audacity to call royalty that. And those words stung even more, because this armor, belonged to all of the people of Phoenix Drop. They all payed tax to upgrade defenses, and in return, we let them occasionally use our things, and it hurt to see someone act this way towards who he thought was a poor person. And it hurt most, because this bow, and these arrows, I had found out,

Belonged to my mother.

And that sword, belonged to my father.

I smiled, and stared at him with determination, (That word is forever plagued by the great Undertale) "May I remind you," I knew exactly what I was doing, "Of a little deal to end the war that I am sure you know about?" Oh, I can't wait to see the look on his face, "Of course! The princess of Phoenix Drop is to marry prince Garroth!" Oh, this is going to be so good, "Well," I said, "Wouldn't you say that Garroth is one half of the deal?" Wait for it, "Of course!" he stated it like the fact was obvious, "Well what if I told you," wait, "That I am the other?" THERE IT IS! His jaw had practically dropped to the floor, and he stared at me like it was the first time he had seen a human being, in, well, forever. I placed my hands on my hips, and continued, "And every one is riding on your shoulders right now," I said, "So, please let me through, and I promise, that I will help you find a better life, Mister......?"

He shook himself out of his daze, but he still looked flabbergasted as he walked up to me and said, "U-uh, Jeffrey, just Jeffrey." I smiled, genuine this time, "Well," I said, "Jeffrey, would you mind guarding this," I asked, "For the both of us?" He nodded, and took position by the stair well. Nice, I thought, one point for me, zero for O'kasis.

One step closer to victory.

===============

Hey! Sorry this took so long to write! As I have said many times, I have had writer's block, but I just want to restate it for some reason. This is only like, 750 words, so sorry for that, but I thought that point was just a good place to end. I know exactly what will happen next, and we are very close to the end of the book! Only a few chapters left, and then the epilogue! My first piece of writing will be sent out into the world, and you will be the critics! Sorry if this sucked, I had to rush because I am writing kinda late at night, but I did all of the rewriting I could in enough time to get this out to you all! Love ya to bits!

Cya when I do!
