Now would be a good time to mention that this book will mostly be in Aph's POV, so enjoy!

Aphmau's POV:

"This way," Garroth said, as he led me through the streets of the town, "Where are we going?" I asked. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, as I carried my sword and my backpack with me. He was wearing a t-shirt and cargo shorts, and he also carried a sword as well. He grabbed me by my wrist and started running through the streets, until he came to the edge of the forest, "You like to climb trees?" he glanced back at me, and gave a cute smile, "LIKE!? I LOVE climbing trees! Last one to the top is a rotten egg!" I sprinted into the forest, and grabbed a hold of the first tree I saw, and hauled myself up, and up, higher and higher, until I could see the sky clearly. I glanced around and saw a sly Garroth staring back at me from a tree just a bit away, "What type of egg are you? Hard boiled, fried, sunny side up.....?"

I laughed and swung from one branch to another, until I was in the same tree as him, I sat down on a sturdy branch and he did the same. We gazed into each other's eyes for a millisecond, but I could see the world in those shards of ice he called eyes, "I personally prefer not to be an egg at all, but I did make up the rules. May I ask a walk of you?" I smiled at him, as I jumped out of the tree, as did he, and we strolled through the grass.

"By the way," he turned to look at me, "that note the other night, was from me. You truly do have an amazing voice," I could see the color rising to his cheeks as he spoke, "Frankly, I couldn't be more apologetic about last night. Gosh I feel like such a dufus........" now it was my turn to feel embarrassed,  "Will you forgive me, and I forgive you?" We stopped walking, and the grass around our feet swirled as the wind blew, "We will start over from the, beginning, we are not friends, lovers, simply two people, meeting, normally?" I looked down, I felt so embarrassed, so weird, but I couldn't take going on like this. Awkward moments remaining in my memory forever.

But as I turned to look up, he brushed out his hand to meet mine in the remaining space between our bodies. "Good evening, madam, I am Garroth, and you are?" I could see the smile creeping across his face, and it was contagious, "Aphmau. Would you care for a game of tag, sir Garroth?" I firmly shook his hand, but then let go, without waiting for his reply, I reached over and barely grazed his skin before running off into the forest. "HEY!" I heard him call, but I could tell he was laughing all the same. Suddenly, though, as I turned my head to see if he was following me, I could hear a clashing of swords. I sprinted back until I could see Garroth and Sasha, sword against sword, glaring eye against glaring eye. In a swish of her sword Sasha pinned him to the ground, "Well hello there Sasha, why don't you pick on someone your own size?"

In a flash we were pinned against each other, glaring into each other's eyes, "You leave him alone, or worse will come than a few guards to put you in your place." She smirked, "Oh, Princess' got herself a new Prince, eh? Fine, I'll back off, but it won't be the last you ever see of me, will it, Lady Aphmau?" I glared at her, every atom of my body resenting her very being, "It never is Sasha." With that she ran full speed into the forest, and disappeared into the shade. I walked over to Garroth, bending to the floor, to make sure he was ok, but it was worse than I thought.

Sasha had cut a gash in his shin, and it was pouring blood, "Oh my Irene, Garroth, I......" I looked into his face, growing paler by the minute. I hauled him to a tree, and propped him up to better look at his wound, "I just, need to take a close look at it okay?" He nodded his head back in reply, not being able to do much more than that in his agony. I touched his leg, but as I did, I felt like I was absorbing the sunlight above me, like the feeling of pure joy and life was being pushed through my body until it reached my fingertips, and when I looked at his shin again, it was as good as new. "Aph- how did you do that?" He looked at me with a concerned look on his face, worry swimming in his eyes.

I gazed back, and I felt the color draining from my face, "I, I don't--" He jumped up and ran over to me, starting to pick me up bridal style, "You don't look good, not at all. We need to get you back---"

But I never heard the rest, because the world went black.

Author's Note:

Ok, Ok, I know that I said I would come out with a new update yesterday, but the pressure caught up to me, and I just didn't have the motivation to finish the new update. I'm sorry, but I just can't do an update every day, I need to take a break every now and then. From now on, I will try to update every single day, except Sunday, so I can rest. I know that you will probably understand, but I just wanted to update you all, and again, It takes a lot out of you to write a 1000 word chapter. Thank you for understanding.

Cya when I do!
