Aphmau's POV:

I sifted through the racks of armor, and finally came across a nice suit of armor. It was mostly iron, with hints of amethyst accented in suitable places; the center of the chest, which held a lady Irene symbol, the cuffs of the sleeves (I had decided to not wear the gloves, I was going to wear my fingerless ones), and the tips of the feet. I pulled it on, everything except the helmet, I wanted to have my head seen. I had just finished pulling on the iron suit, when I heard footsteps of someone walking up the guard wear house, which was where we kept all of the swords, armor, and any other supplies that we needed for battle. I quickly darted behind a shelf to avoid whoever was walking up, but I wasn't fast enough.

"Aph?" Katelyn's voice rang through the upstairs, and I cursed under my breath, I hadn't told anyone about what I was doing yet. "Aph, I know that you're here, common out." I sighed, and stepped out from my hiding place behind the shelf, "You caught me, Kate." Katelyn ran up to me, her robe streaming out behind her as she hurried towards me. "What are you doing?" She looked worried and confused out of her mind, "You never wear armor for just training, what's going on?" She held my hands and looked straight into my eyes (an unintentional moment for all you Katemau shippers out there; again, not planed *aka don't come after me with pitchforks and torches*), "Come on Aph," she said, "We've been friends since the day we were born," she looked close to tears, "Please tell me what is going on!"

I begrudgingly walked over to the sword racks, "Fine," I huffed, I picked through the many swords hung by their hilts, "I am going over to O'kasis to get Garroth back," I could hear Katelyn's soft gasp in the background, and I stopped walking, as my eyes settled on a midnight purple, demonic broad sword. Perfect. (that is the same sword Aaron used to use, but Aph uses it now, I just thought I should figure out how to fit that sword in) I hefted it off the wall, and fit it into my sling on my back, "Aph," Katelyn started, "O'kasis is such a dangerous place, I mean yo-" I put my hand in front of Katelyn's face, a serious look on my face also helped to shut her up, "That's why," I said, making my way to make one last check in the mirror, "I'm going alone."

Katelyn's jaw practically dropped to the floor, "No, there is no way I'm letting you die out there. May I remind you, that you have not yet had the wedding that seals of this war, at least until we fudge it up with O'kasis again." I smiled bitter sweetly, "And there is no way, I'm letting you die, Katelyn." I finished braiding my hair, walked up to Katelyn, and I hugged her. She said one final thing before we broke apart, "I never want to let go."

That was a bit of an Undertale reference, if any of you get that. If you do, which is likely, I love you so much, it is one of my favorite parts in the whole game, right next to the revealing of Mettaton Ex! (That "Oh yes!" is too good to deny)

Garroth's POV:

I was standing in a sunlight field, dandelions were in bloom all around me, the trees were green, and there was a small village off in the distance. I could just barely see the gravel paths that led to each house, a large wheat field in the center, and a very large house behind it. People with happy faces ran about, trading at small stands by open spaces in the road, and children played in the backyards, and in the trees that surrounded the field, and bordered the other half of the village. "Hey," a voice said, and I turned around to see Aphmau, wearing (see armor description above) and I tried to reach my hand out, to hold hers, but the world fell away beneath me.

"GARROTH!" She called out to me, and I could see her radiating like sunlight in the darkness I was suddenly engulfed in. I landed hard on my butt, and I could see Aphmau running towards me, still calling out to me, "GARROTH!" She said, "I'LL SAVE YOU!" But she was caught short, frozen in place, and all of a sudden she was chained up against a wall, her wrists, and ankles, were bruised and bloodied, and tears streamed down her face, "APH!" I screamed, I tried to reach out, but I was held back, by invisible hands. Before I could do anything, a charging swirl of black plunged through the darkness, and stabbed her right in the heart. My words were caught in my throat, until I couldn't take the despair, "WHY?!" I screamed, towards the black mess in front of me. He turned around, and I could see my brother's face distorted by the darkness.

"You know very well why, big brother."

I woke up in a dungeon.
