Aphmau's POV:

I looked up into my mother's eyes, they were regretful, like she was expecting something to happen, but my eyes were wet with tears, as I held her tighter, like I was only a young child again, "But, sunshine," my mother started, "You need to know, family is not who you are born to, family is who you make it." She was starting to cry now, as she hugged me tighter than ever before, "I know Mom, and, I want you to know, I love you. Even if you didn't birth me, I still love you!" We were both holding on tighter than ever before, love coursing through our veins,

"But Mom," I said, pulling away, "What about what I did to Garoth the other day?" My mother's face turned pale, "Well, I, we should talk about that when you are ready, right now, I need to take care of these papers, and you should go and have a good time with your friends," she said as she smiled, and as she said that I knew, "I know exactly where to go! Bye!" I ran out of the room, and sprinted down the halls, wiping tears from my face as I went, I was lucky to be wearing a simple sundress this morning, because I knew I was about to do some serious exercise.

I peered around, until I remembered that night I had found out about the glue, and I went back to that same hallway. Once I got there I quickly braided my hair and got my sword and hilt from my room (which was close by), and walked around slowly, hoping to find a certain someone with blonde hair and striking blue eyes walking around his room. I sprinted when I saw him, "HEY, YOU! WE GOTS SOME PLACES TO GO!" I jumped on top of his back but quickly let go, so we wouldn't fall to the floor, "Hey, what-Oh, it's just you, thank Irene-HEY! Where are you taking me?" He resisted as I pulled his wrist proudly down the hallway, a smile on my face all the while, "You took me somewhere, so now it's my turn to take you!"

I turned towards him, and I slowed down ever so slightly, just so I could see his reaction, only to have him pull me close to wrap his arms around my waist, and cover my lips in his. I pulled away with a smile on my face, and reluctantly said, "Well, I'd love to do this all day, but we must get going," and I ran down the stairs, his hand in mine, and out into the sun light courtyard. "Now will you tell me where we are going?" I smirked, "No, not yet. Just follow me!" I pulled him along with me, as I trudged down the cobble roads, whining as I went. "Okay, half way there," I said, as we met the outer reaches of the forest. The small light that was seen through the leaves, was dotted with small, puffy clouds, creeping through the sky. I sighed as we reached the clearing that we constantly met in, "We are here! Well, practically."

I smiled at him as I bent down to pick up a flower, and tucked it behind my ear. It just happened to be one of my favorites, a buttercup! I let go of his hands and searched around in the tree tops, looking intently. "What are you doing?" Asked Garoth, I then turned to him, "Stop asking questions, and just be patient, please, I promise that it will be worth it!" He shrugged, "Fine, but it better be good." I squealed as I finally saw a glimpse of wood in the canopy, "Common, common! I finally found it!" I raced over to the trunk of the tree, and saw wooden planks nailed along it, going up to the structure on the top, and I started climbing, "I'll explain when I get up there," I said, hauling my body up, plank after plank, until I could feel walls.

I flung myself up onto the floor, and immediately went out to the window to look out onto the rest of the forest, and saw something I had forgotten about. On the other side of the forest, a short range of mountains blocked anything beond that point from view. "Hey, Garoth," I asked, as he walked over to me, "What's up?" We were both leaning against the window frame by now, "Do you know about that range of mountains over there? I don't remember them for some reason." He peered out of the window, to see where I was pointing, "Oh, of course, those are the mountains that separate O'kasis and Phoenix Drop form each other." My eyes widened, as I suddenly had a recollection of my parents mentioning them to me once, "Oh, right," I said as I gazed down to the trees below.

"Hey," Garoth said, "Do you have the feeling this place is familiar at all?" He questioned me with a puzzled look. I sighed, "Garoth?" I said, "What?" he responded. The wind blew as I spoke, filling our nostrils with the smell of blossoms, and  ripe berries on berry bushes. "Do you have any recollection of your childhood? Like, before you were, what, five? Six?" I could see the realization brimming in his eyes, "Wait a minute, were we.....?" I nodded, "Friends, Garoth, we were best friends, until my biological parents died of a disease. We know each other." I smiled at him, and he held me in a hug, a hug that proved that, no matter if we didn't even know it, we would always be friends.
