Aphmau's POV:

A clap of thunder woke me up from my sleep, and I quickly sat up, and ran over to the window, relieved that there was no fire in the village. The rain was pouring, and I suddenly saw how dark it was in the sky. I sluggishly walked over to my bed and sat down, and I peered over at the clock, it was almost midnight, Great, I thought, Now I won't be able to get back to sleep. Well, might as well take this opportunity to practice...... I walked over to my wardrobe, and picked out a pair of jeans, and a raincoat. I pulled out my hiking sneakers, my sword and back sheath, and a bow and quiver, and equipped them all. I made sure that my hair was up, then I pulled my hood up, and sneaked down the hallway towards the staircase. I held my sword in hand, incase there was a danger that we didn't know about already, and safely made my way out into the courtyard, that would lead me into the streets, where I could safely find my way to the Eastern side of the forest, where I did all of my training.

When I got outside, it was raining harder than before, but there was minimal lightning, which was good for the village, no fire, and no people running up to the castle in fear. I started running, as I put my sword back into my sheath, and I sprinted along the edge of the forest, until I saw marks and scars on trees, making sure in my mind that I was in the right place. I trenched through the mud, and squinted through the trees, when suddenly, I saw a pair of red eyes peering towards me through the branches. My attention was caught off guard, and I tripped over a stump, but, when I looked back up, there was nothing there but falling rain, and wet leaves.

I stood up, and ignored the lingering soil left on my jeans, and I pulled out my sword. I continued to sneak throughout the undergrowth, until I stumbled upon a clearing that had a target, a dummy, and trees with deep gashes in them, from many years of training out in the woods. I pulled out my bow, set an arrow into the string and pulled it back. My eyes were set, peering straight for the bull's eye, until I saw those signature  blood red eyes, once again peering out behind the edge of the clearing. I quickly stood up, worry rising to my face, denying the facts.

My face was struck with a surge of confidence, "Come out for real then, coward!" I heard a whistling in the air behind me, and turned around to see a arrow zooming past me, and I was barely able to doge it, before it hit bull's eye. "Who are you?" I called out, "Oh," I suddenly realized the slightly familiar voice, "Don't you remember me? I do think I remember you." I dashed my head around, "You, long time no see.... You finally got your little dogs to open the portal, Zenix?" "Hmph," I could tell he was smiling through the darkness, as a dagger sliced through the head of a dummy, "You know me all too well."

A zooming swirl of red and back pinned me up against a tree, a red sword held against my neck, "Don't play cocky girl," I could see Zenix's brown hair shining black in the night, "You know how much we already know," I furrowed my brow, determination in my glare, "You can't play those old tricks on us anymore, we know all about the Shadow Knights, if you don't forget." He smiled, "Oh, maybe the Shadow Knights, but, not much anything else do we? Let's say we would, oh, partner up?" Despite his grin, and his hard hold against the tree, I stared back at him for a moment, before kneeing him right in the crotch. "Take that you..."

I started to say as I dashed up a tree, despite the slipperiness of the branches, I hauled my self half way, before I turned around to finish my sentence, but when I looked down there was no one to be seen. I turned my gaze upwards, to see him standing on a sturdy point on the tree, foot inches away from my hand, "You do know that you can't hide your power from us forever, Lady Aphmau," I glanced back down, it was a good 10 feet fall from here to the ground, and I was not prepared for that, "What do you mean, I have no power!" My grasp was slowly slipping from the branch, with every heartbeat. "Playing the part of the fool as always, Lady Aphmau, when will you learn the error in your ways?"

His feet pounded down onto my slowly sliding fingers, and as I looked up, as the ground fell away from me, I saw him slipping away, like a thread through a needle. Suddenly, my head hit the wet grass, and my vision slipped away.

This isn't amazing, it is mostly just first drafts, and they could all probably do with some revising, but you guys seem to like them, so, yay me! I do read loads of other fanfics, so if you guys make some, leave some that you have made in the comments, and I will hopefully get a chance to check them out!
