Chapter 4

Kelsey

Being the complete idiot I was I had to open my big my mouth and tell Justin that the girl was me. Not knowing what to do next I got up and ran to the washroom.
He probably thinks I'm lying or I'm absolutely insane. I rushed to the washroom locking the door behind me.
I could hear Justin banging on the door.
"Kelsey open up! Please, I'm so sorry! Please open up!" He kept banging on the door, but I stayed silent.
After minutes of banging I heard Pattie's voice,
"Honey, come downstairs. We're leaving!" She yelled
I mumbled a 'Thank God' to myself.

"I'll be there in a minute!" Justin yelled back.

"Kelsey, please open the door. I'm really sorry for what I did. Please talk to me, say something, anything yell at me. Please just say something." He pleaded.

I stayed silent.
"JUSTIN HURRY UP WE ARE LEAVING!"

"I'm coming." He screamed sounding annoyed.

"I know you can hear me Kelsey and I'm not going to leave you alone until you forgive me. I'll see you tomorrow." I heard heavy footsteps making there way down the stairs.

Knowing the coast was clear I got out of the washroom.
Justin said he was coming tomorrow. I don't even know what to do or say to him. There's no way I was going to see him tomorrow, I don't even think I can face him.

The bright lights from the windows blinded me, I yawned as I stretched my arms getting out of bed.
I quickly freshened up and changed into a pair of black sweats and an Adidas sweat-shirt. Making my way downstairs for breakfast I could smell the pancakes. It was Sunday the last day of the weekend, I was gonna start school on tomorrow.

"Morning mom." I yawned
"Morning sweetie. Why do you look so down?" She wondered

"It's, n-nothing mom and if Justin comes tell him I'm not home, please."
I lied I could not stop stressing over Justin all night I barely got any sleep.
"Why honey? What happened?" She worried
"It's nothing, just please tell Justin I'm not home if he ever comes to visit, please."
Confused she just nodded.

I quickly ate some pancakes and went upstairs, before mom could question me any further.
I had nothing to do and I didn't know anyone here, so I was hella bored and also scared that Justin might come over to my house. I had to get out of here, so I decided to go out to the basketball court to shoot some hoops.
I grabbed my favorite pink nike basketball and headed towards the door.
"MOM, IM GOING TO THE BASKETBALL COURT!"
I screamed giving mom the single that I was leaving
"Bye honey." She screamed back
"Bye!" I yelled as I made my way out the door

Kelsey's Mom
Kelsey just left. I did not know why she been acting all weird earlier and she told me to tell Justin that she wasn't home.
My thoughts were interrupted by the door bell ringing. Who could that be? We were new, maybe some of our neighbors came by.
I opened the door to find Justin standing there.
I started to panic, what was I supposed to do or say.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Jordan." Justin said giving me a bright smile
"Good afternoon to you to, Justin." I smiled back, trying to play it off cool.
"What brings you here today?" I asked politely
"I was wondering if I could see Kelsey?"
"Ohh- a- Kelseys- not-home" I stuttered, I was a terrible lair.
"Ah, Are you alright Ms. Jordan?" Justin asked getting curious
"I'm sorry Justin, but you're going to have to leave." I tired my best to say that as politely as I could.
"Why, Did Kelsey tell you not to talk to me?" He asked upset
"Umm, no. It's just that I can't-" before I could finish my lie he interrupted me.
"Please tell me where Kelsey is, I really need to speak to her please." He practically begged
I couldn't hold it in, this boy was just so sweet.
"Okay honey, she is gonna kill me but I'll tell you. She went to the court to play basketball." I whispered
"Thank you so much." He said smiling
"No problem, just don't tell her I told you." I laughed
"I won't, thanks again. Bye."
I sighed as I shut the door.

Kelsey

I made it to the court and I spotted Chaz, Ryan and Chris, the guys that I met earlier yesterday.
"Hey guys." I said walking up to them
"Sup." Chaz smiled
"Can I play with you guys?" I asked getting straight to the point.
"sure." Ryan smiled

We played three games and we got tired so we took a break.
"Hey Chris, can I get a water bottle?" I asked it was so hot, I felt like my body was gonna collapse because of dehydration.
"Sure." He said passing me a ice cold bottle.
"So what school are you going to go to?" He asked
"Stratford high." I said taking a big gulp of water.
"That's great, me Chaz and Ryan all go there." He said
"Really, that's great!"
I said, at least I would know someone that goes to the school.
Then Ryan and Chaz walked up to us.
"Kelsey, you've got to teach us how to shoot like that!" Chaz said.
"I true magician never reviles his secrets." I laughed teasingly.
He gave me a puppy dog pout and I just laughed harder.
"So how long have you been in Stratford?" Ryan asked
"Today's my second day."
"Cool." They answered
"Not really." I joked and we all laughed.
These guys were really cool and really funny. While we were in the middle of our conversation, someone interrupted us.
"Aye bro, what's up!" Chaz said we all turned and Justin was standing there.
The color on my face disappeared.
"Hey, what's up guys!" he said walking over and giving all of them 'bro hugs'.
I had to get out of here.
"Umm guys, it's getting late I just remembered my mom wanted to help her unpack. I'll see you guys at school, tomorrow." I said in a rush.
"Aww, your leaving already?" Chris said, making me laugh.
"Don't worry, I'll see you at school tomorrow." I said while hugging him and then hugged Chaz and Ryan.
When I got to Justin, I just turned around and walked away.
"Hey, where's my hug?"
"I'm sorry, I don't talk to strangers." I said and kept walking without looking back
I heard the guys snicker quietly but loud enough for me to hear.
I just rolled my eyes, meanwhile Justin following me.
"That hurt." he said putting his hand on this heart. I turned around,
"Your heart is on the left side idiot" all the guys laughed, again.
I then turned around again and kept walking, when he grabbed me by the waist.
"Justin, let go of me!" I screamed getting annoyed.
"I'm not letting go until you listen to me." He whispered
"What do you want?" I spat.
"Listen, about what happened a few years ago, I'm really sorry. You don't understand how bad I felt after what I did. I couldn't sleep for days, I vowed to myself that day to love my fans more then anything. Please forgive me, I really am sorry. I know what I did was stupid, I'm just really sorry."
"Justin-"
"I know your not gonna forgive me,"
"Justin-" I said again, but he didn't hear me.
"but I'm just... I'm really sorry."
"JUSTIN!" I said while laughing.
"What? Why are you laughing?" He said confused
" 'Cause I said your name like five times and you didn't even hear me,"
"-Justin, I forgive you. I just wanted you to feel what you did was wrong and now that you know you made a mistake, I forgive you."
"Really?!" He face lit up in happiness
"really" I repeated
"I have something else to add," Justin says.
"What?" I asked confused
"Umm, you know how you won the contest to spend a day with me, well I was wondering if you actually wanted to do that again like a redo since the first one didn't go out so well."
"Ohh, I'm kinda not really a fan anymore-"
"Ohh I- get- it" he said disappointed.
"You didn't let me finish. I'm not a fan but I wouldn't mind spending a day with you."
"Really?!" his face lit up again.
"Ya, really, We can hang out after school tomorrow."
"That'll be great!" He smiled.
"Umm Justin, can you let go of my waist?"
"Ohh! I'm so sorry, I forgot." I laughed as he let go of me.
"Bye, See you tomorrow." I hugged him and walked home with a idiotic smile plastered on my face.
