A/N: I know I've been posting short chapters lately, but school has been hella crazy. Although it's now Spring Break baby!! So longer chapters are definitely coming up :D

Lunch comes quicker than I thought, and soon I'm setting my things in my locker and am ready to head to the cafeteria. Robbie appears by my side almost instantly. I roll my eyes and sigh. From first period to fourth, either Tony or Robbie has been by my side during the passing periods. I'm starting to go insane. I just wish Arran would come back...

No, Emma! Stop it! You heard what Robbie said. Guys like him don't change overnight. This is a simple bet between two people. You need to pull yourself together, now!

I silently nod my head. My self conscious is right. Whatever I thought Arran and I had, we don't. It's part of the act. My brain is smiling, but my heart is crying out in sorrow. I close my eyes. I'm doing this for my own good. I can and I will win this bet. I am not going to be the broken hearted one.

Robbie helps me get my lunch and then I follow him over to a table where Tony, Meagan, Allie, and Sarah are sitting. Meagan and Tony are in some conversation, and Allie and Sarah are eating quietly.

"Wow, don't be too loud or the principle will come split us up." Robbie says as he sets his tray down. I set mine down and then sit down, grabbing a fork and stuffing some salad into my mouth.

"Hey, Emma." Allie grins, but her smile falters. "Hey, look, I'm really sorry about the party. I had no idea..."

I raise my hand. "It's fine. No grudges."

She visibly relaxes."Thank God. I felt so bad!"

I wave at her. "It's all good."

We eat our lunch quite peacefully. The bell rings, and soon I'm sitting in 5th period, ready to slam my head on my desk. I've always hated History. It's just not exciting enough to catch my attention. So when the bell rings, I willingly jump out of my seat and bolt through the door. Tony is on the other side of the door waiting for me. He grabs my arm as I run past him and yanks me back.

I almost fall onto the floor but he catches me in time.

"Slow down speedy. There's no rush." he says coolly.

"I only have one more period of the day. I am ready to leave." I say with a straight face.

"Okay, but you don't need to trample everyone in your way." he chuckles.

"Sorry," I laugh. He lets go of my arm and then helps me to class.

I plop down on the living room couch. I've finished all of my chores and my homework. It's currently five in the evening, and I'm already ready for bed. Cole left five minutes ago, and mom... well, I don't know where mom is. I know she isn't upstairs, so she's either out with her "friends" or she's at work. Either way, she isn't home.

I turn the TV on and change it to a classic; "The Breakfast Club". I watch as Judd Nelson walks on to the screen. I decide to cook some popcorn and grab a coke can and then sit back down.

As they are all assigned the 1,000 word essay, my doorbell rings. I groan and mute the TV. I stand up to go open the door, but I don't have any need to. My visitor is standing in the entranceway in all their glory.

I feel a smile split my face in two as I quickly run over to Arran and hug him. I bury my face in his neck and inhale his cologne deeply. The scent is calming and I love it. I feel him pick me up and carry me over to the couch. He sits down and I curl up into his lap, not wanting to let him go.

He leans his forehead against mine and nuzzles my nose.

"I missed you shorty." he smiles.

"Ditto." I grin as I stare into his intense gray eyes.

He looks at the TV. "Breakfast Club?" he asks, amused.

"It's a classic," I grin.

"That's true."

"Want to finish it?"

"Obviously. It's a classic, you can't just not watch it."

I rest my head in the crook of his neck as we watch the movie. He takes a piece of popcorn and tosses it into his mouth. I feel his Adam's Apple run against the tip of my nose as he swallows. I simply snuggle deeper.

"You really missed me, shorty, didn't you?"

"I did. It's been a long day."

"I can second that," he chuckles. I grin and sigh. His arms are wrapped around me and I'm in such a comfortable position it's not even funny. It's such a comfortable position that I end up passing out within fifteen minutes.

I wake up towards the last five minutes of the movie. Arran is leaned farther back against the couch, and my head is resting more on his shoulder, but besides that we haven't moved much. Judd Nelson is just now leaving the highs chool, and he raises his fist in triumph the air as he walks across the football field for home.

I look up at Arran who is also passed out. His eyes are closed softly, and he has that young, innocent look to him again. I smile a little and then raise my head a little and kiss his cheek softly. Even though it's an innocent move, it creates a spark inside that just makes me want to do it repeatedly.

Emma, enough! You cannot afford to fall for this boy!

I sigh a little and lean my head back against his chest. Even with his arms wrapped around me, Robbie's words come back to mind.

Guys like that don't change overnight.

I frown a little and I feel tears prick the back of my eyes. I hate to face the truth, but I know that it's going to help ease the burn in the end.

I feel Arran's hand lift my chin up so that I'm looking at Arran in the eye now. He sits up straighter and moves me so that we're eye to eye, nose to nose. He looks into my eyes and stares at me, trying to read my facial expression.

"God, I want to know what you're thinking."

"I could say the same thing about you, Miller."

He raises his eyebrow, smirks, and then shakes his head. "Ask me again in three months."

I grin stupidly at his comment, but my grin fades away quickly as I feel his lips on my cheek. It spreads fire throughout my body and tingles shoot everywhere. It's an amazing feeling, and it makes me yearn for him to kiss me on my lips, but I know that that action will screw me over completely.

"Now we're even," he smirks. I giggle a little and rest my forehead against his.

"I really did miss you," I say softly.

"I know. I missed you too." he smiles. I hear the beginning of one of my favorite movies of all time; "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

I feel my body leap with joy as I hear the intro for it. Arran raises an eyebrow.

"I'm guessing you like this movie?" he chuckles.

"You could say that," I wink. He grins and then turns me around and wraps me in his arms.

"Well, I'm a sucker for classics. Although I do like new movies too." He whispers that last part, and I have a feeling we're talking about more than just movies.
