A/N: Hello, loves! I'm sorry I didn't update two chapters yesterday, but I should be getting back to my regular schedule soon! Please don't forget to vote and comment on your favorite part! Have a nice night loves <3 Until the next chapter!
We pull up onto the side of the street. There are two cop cars parked; one in the driveway and the other in front of the driveway. Robbie and Sarah are talking to an officer and I can see that one of the front windows was obviously broken because there is shattered glass everywhere. I also notice the fact that Sarah's hair is all fuzzy, as if someone was pulling at it. I immediately avert my mind to something else, not wanting that image in my head.
"Hey man," Justin says as he walks towards us. He's wearing plaid pajama pants but no shirt.
"Hey. Do you guys know who did it?" Arran says, not letting my hand go. I stand there awkwardly, regretting the fact that I didn't bring a jacket like Arran suggested. I'm shivering like hell but there is no way I'm letting him know he was right.
"We have a hunch, but we aren't 100% sure." Justin says. They have some unspoken conversation and that's where I lose what we're talking about.
"Shit," Arran sighs. "Did anyone get hurt?"
"No, not really. Sarah's a little shaken up but we're fine otherwise."
"Was anything stolen?"
"No, Robbie scared the burglar off before they could do anything else."
Arran sighs. "I'm glad that everyone is okay. Why exactly do you need me here?"
Justin looks at me awkwardly and then back at Arran.
"Can I talk to you... alone for like two minutes?"
Arran looks at me. "Will you be okay?"
"Yeah, of course." I smile reassuringly.
He squeezes my hand tightly and then walks away with Justin. I stand there, holding my arms as my teeth start to chatter. I lean against the car and tap my foot, trying to keep my body somewhat active so that I don't freeze to death. Why did Justin need to talk to Arran without me? Would it piss me off if I were to know?
The officer nods his hat to Robbie and Sarah, says a few words, and then goes back to his car. The other officer is writing something on a notepad and within five minutes both of them leave. I walk over to where Robbie and Sarah are standing. He's rubbing her back softly and she's hiding in his neck.
"Hey, are you guys okay?" I ask.
Sarah looks at me and I can tell that she is tempted to glare at me, but she simply nods her head.
"We're fine."
"Is there anything I can do to help?" I ask. Robbie shakes his head.
"We're fine. I'll have to call my dad tomorrow morning and see what I can do about the window. Justin is staying overnight and so is Tony, that way we have some protection downstairs."
"I am too," I hear Arran say behind me. I turn around and feel his arms wrap around my waist. "You guys will need all the protection you can get."
I look up at Arran. "Should I call Meagan and ask her for a ride home?"
"You should call her, but not for a ride." Arran says. "Ask her to cover for you."
"You want me to stay here?" I ask, not able to hide my shock.
"Um, yes?" Arran laughs. "Did I not make that clear?"
"No you did. I need to get a few things from the house though," I frown.
