Our three day weekend runs by quickly. I don't get to see Arran at all on Monday, because his friends took him out of town for the entire day. Meagan got back late that night, and I got to sit there all day, doing nothing. I got up to eat food but that was it. So when school starts, I'm actually looking forward to it.

My alarm clock rings five times until I hit it. I slowly sit up and sigh. I'm excited for today, but I'm hoping to God that Victoria doesn't start anything. I get up and make my way over to my closet. I put on a black shirt with long sleeves and then some black jeans. I put my hair up in a ponytail and slide on some black flats. I don't know why, but I'm just feeling like black.

Before I can walk down the stairs, my phone buzzes in my hand. I look down and see Arran's face appear.

"Hello?" I ask as I walk down the stairs.

"Hey," I can hear his smile. I can't help but grin.

"Did you have fun on your romantic get away yesterday?" I ask.

"Ha ha, very funny." he chuckles.

"So, when are you going to come get me?" I ask, trying not to laugh myself.

"That's the thing. See, Justin hasn't fully recovered from the fight, and he needs someone to help him."

I feel my heart ache but I act like it's no big deal. "That's cool. Although I think Meagan already left, and I've officially missed the bus." I shudder at the thought.

"Don't worry. I have the perfect substitute." I can picture the smirk on his face.

A loud noise comes from outside my window. I quickly run over to the living room window seat and peak out of the window. A blue 2007 corvette is parked in my driveway, and a certain dark brown haired, blue-eyed boy waves at me. I chuckle.

"You hired Robbie?"

"Not hired. Forced."

I shake my head. "Okay, thank you."

"I should be back tomorrow."

"Okay, later."

"Later baby."

The line ends and I feel shivers run down my spine. My face reddens, but I ignore it as I grab my backpack and quickly run out.

"Lookin good, Grey." Robbie winks. I roll my eyes.

"Your lip looks better."

"Thanks for noticing."

I sit down in the car and the scent of the beach fills my nose. It's quite calming, to be honest. As I buckle up, I realize that it's starting to rain.

"So you're my babysitter," I ask as Robbie sits down.

"Psh. Babysitters get paid."

I laugh. "That's true."

"Although I don't mind driving you. You're way better than other girls Arran has dated."

I raise an eyebrow at him. "What were the other girls like?"

Robbie shrugs as he pulls onto the highway. "Tall, blonde, crazy for any guy who came within twenty feet of them."

I feel my heart sink a little.

"Oh."

"But don't worry shortcake," he grins. "You're not like them at all. You're short, brunette, and you only have the hots for Arran."

"I do not!" I say quickly in my defense. Robbie raises an eyebrow at me.

"I mean, yeah, I guess." I mutter quickly.
