*15 Years Later...*I wake up to the sound of tiny feet running through the house. I open one of my eyes and look at the alarm clock that's sitting on the nightstand. 7:45 a.m. I sigh and roll over to only feel a soft pair of lips on my nose.
"I don't care how much you kiss up to me, they are your children before nine, Arran." I mumble.
I hear him chuckle and I find myself smiling stupidly. Did I mention before that I love this man?
"Come on love," he says. "They're going to be in here any minute anyways."
I sigh and slowly sit up on my elbow. "Remind me of why we had children again?"
"Because sex is amazing." he grins a lopsided grin. I smack his chest.
"Pervert."
"But I'm your pervert." he grins as he kisses me softly. I roll my eyes.
His hand moves to my stomach and he rubs it slowly. "I still want to name it Paisley."
"Arran we don't even know if it's a boy or girl yet."
"Well Paisley can be a unisex name."
"I am not naming my son Paisley!" I giggle.
"Fine. If it's a girl, we name her Paisley. If it's a boy..." he stops for a minute and thinks. "Leon."
I raise an eyebrow and smirk. "Maybe."
I kiss his nose and get out of bed.
"You owe me." I say grinning. He winks at me and then rolls over. I sigh and walk out of the room.
After college I moved back to help dad with things around the house. Dad officially owned the house then, and now that he has moved on, it belongs to me. Let me clarify that he is not dead yet. He simply moved to LA to be closer to not only his new job, but to his new wife.
Yes dad got remarried, and no I don't mind. He's happy again and that's all that matters to me. Besides, the woman is very nice. Her name is Darlene and she is as sweet as pie.
I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. I turn the coffee pot on and lean against the counter.
"Mom!" I hear someone shout.
"Yes Christian?" I say as I walk into the living room.
"Delilah changed the channel again." He says, pointing to a little girl with brown hair. I sigh as I look into the green eyes of my son.
"Can you please share the TV with her?" I ask. "You're her older brother. Be nice."
"It's not my fault!" he pouts. "I didn't choose to be born first!"
I smile and ruffle his already messy brown hair. "I know it's not, but you're ten and she's five." I say. "Please share."
"Fine." he sighs as he slouches in the chair.
"Delilah, dear." I say. Her head turns around as her gray eyes meet mine.
"Yes mommy?"
"Please don't sit too close to the TV." I command softly.
"You're sounding just like my mother used to." I hear a deep voice say behind me. I turn around to shoot Arran a look, but I fail when I see how he looks. His hair's all messy and may I just say holy fuck he looks hot.
"Shush." I grin. There's a loud ding and I know that coffee is ready. I slowly make my way over and pour myself a steamy cup. I put some hazelnut creamer and sugar in it and take a sip, humming in appreciation.
Arran walks over and wraps his arms around me. I rest my head on his chest.
"I'm going to get fat again." I mumble as I nuzze his chest.
"And I'll still love you." he says as he kisses my forehead. I grin and kiss him. "Although If I remember correctly, when you were carrying Delilah, you could still see your feet even though you were 9 months along."
"Yeah but when I was carrying Christian, I couldn't see my feet after six months." I say.
"Maybe it depends on the gender." he smiles. "All the more reason to have a girl."
"Arran, that is not how it works." I laugh.
"You never know!" he grins as he kisses me. "I'll be keeping my fingers crossed."
The doorbell rings and Arran walks over to open it. I smile as I see my brother walk in with his husband and their son.
"Uncle Cole!" Christian and Delilah shout in unison.
The only time they ever agree on anything.
"Hey kiddos." he smiles as he hugs them. He looks up at me and smiles. "Hey you."
"Hey." I grin as I walk over and hug him.
"I heard the news!" he smiles a big smile. "I'm going to be an uncle again."
"You are indeed." I smile. Daniel sets Grayson down and he waddles over to Delilah.
"Come on Grayson!" Delilah says. "I'm watching Scooby-Doo. You can come watch too."
"My she's gotten big, hasn't she?" Cole chuckles.
"She definitely has. Grayson's gotten pretty big too! How old is he now?"
"He is officially one." Cole smiles as he looks at Daniel. "Poor Dan's starting to have empty nest syndrome already."
Daniel smacks Cole. "That's not true!"
Cole chuckles and kisses his cheek. "Sure."
I smile and I feel Arran's arm snake around my waist, spreading his fingers out across my stomach. I look up at him and kiss him softly. I look into the living room and watch as Delilah plays with the little boy. Christian is laughing as well as Delilah as Grayson makes a funny face. Cole and Dan walk into the living room and sit down on the couch playing with the kids. I sigh softly.
"Who knew, huh?" I ask.
"What do you mean?" Arran says as he looks down at me.
"Who knew we would be here? In this house, with our children?" I say softly.
"I knew from the moment that I saw you on that bus." Arran chuckles as he kisses my temple. "I told you, as soon as I saw that blue bow in your brown hair and that blue dress, I was a goner."
