A/N: Hallo guys! I know I didn't update yesterday and I'm sorry ;-; I'm also doing track and field now so it may take a bit longer for the updates to come. Also, I made a few changes so now it's a lake house instead of a beach house. But that's it ^.^ Enjoy!!
I open my eyes slowly. Arran will be here shortly to pick me up, and then after school he's going to reveal his surprise to me. All week long he has been tormenting me by dropping subtle hints and bringing it up just when I forget about it. It's pure torture. I sit up and stretch and then I go to the bathroom. Once I'm done, I rush over to the closet and grab an outfit. Since today is Friday, I decide to go with something casual. I grab my favorite pair of black leggings and then I grab a loose pink tank top. I grab a jean jacket it and put it on. I then grab my trusty white converse and my phone.
I go back to the bathroom and put on my makeup. I pull my hair out of the messy bun I had it in the night before and I let it fall onto my shoulders in nice, soothe, waves. I put the hair tie on my wrist and then I walk out and head downstairs. I grab my backpack and open the door. I frown. The driveway is empty.
Where is Arran? It's 7:15. He's never late. I sigh and step down, looking around for his car. No sign of it. I pull my phone out and dial his number. It rings twice and then the line picks up.
"I know I'm late." he says a little annoyed. "Something came up that I needed to deal with. I'm pulling onto your street now."
"Okay," I smile a little. "I'll see you soon."
He pulls into my driveway just as I hang up. I walk over to the passenger seat and get in, closing the door. I buckle up and he pulls out quickly. He grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers.
"I'm sorry I was late." he says.
"It's okay," I grin. "It was out of your hands."
He smiles and leans over, kissing my cheek. I grin stupidly.
School goes by quicker today. I don't know if it's because today is Friday or if it's something more. Before I know it, we're in 7th period with ten minutes left of school. Ten minutes before Spring Break officially starts. Ten minutes before my surprise is revealed. I sit back in my desk, my fingers tapping lightly. I stare at the clock, completely ignoring Mr. Howard's lecture about why we should recycle.
I stare at the clock, watching the red line move. Ten, nine, eight...
Mr. Howard walks over to the chalkboard and writes something down.
Five, four, three, two...
The bell rings and I jump up quickly, rushing to my locker which is across the hall. I open it, shove my things in it quickly, grab my backpack, and I slam the door. I turn around and turn the corner to go out when I feel a jab of pain shoot up through my nose and into my brain. I fall back startled, not knowing what just happened. My books are all over the floor and when I pull my hand away from my nose, it's covered with warm, red, trickling blood.
I look up to see Victoria standing in front of me, smiling proudly. There's a thick bandage over her nose.
"That's payback." she says, looking down at me. I scowl and move my leg quickly, knocking hers out from under her. She falls, her blond head hitting the floor.
"I'm not dealing with your shit," I glare at her as I quickly gather my things. "Stay away from me."
She stands up and chuckles. "Aw, but the fun is just starting." She says and she jumps towards me. I move quickly and she falls onto her face. Everyone is watching now and I wonder where the hell Arran is. I feel a hand around my ankle and I'm back on the floor. Victoria climbs on top of me and I feel her hit my shoulder.
