Wings of Fire: The Forgotten

Introductions (12 years later)

Current never really thought of himself as someone who can kill off the taken. Never in a million years. Combine that with the fact that there's a war where three SandWing princesses are fighting for the throne  on the outside of his home. He didn't feel extraordinary at all, he felt out of place and... Different. 

Yes he was different because his scales are cobalt instead of a normal deep blue or green, and his eyes were a grey color. But he felt as though he didn't belong here. His minders are nice to him, especially Jackal. But the other dragons and dragonets just stare at him, as if he were their prey. And because of that he's expecting someone to pin him down at any second at any day.

The only three orphans that are nice to him is Blizzard, Terra, and Shade. Blizzard is only nice to Current because he can relate to him, his IceWing scales are actually cyan instead of polar white. But all around he's pretty popular among the dragonets.

Shade is who Current calls "A bundle." He has no idea what's so different about her though. Because the orphanage takes the rejects, the stunted, and the unstable dragons and dragonets under their wings. But Current has no idea why they took her in. Shade does feel like she can trust Current more than the others, and vise versa.

Terra on the other talon is a laughingstock among the dragons. He's kind of stupid, but he wants to be Current's friend. Despite Terra being annoying, Current shows empathy for him. Like Blizzard, he can relate, to being the odd one out. Current is the oldest of the four, youngest being Terra.

Current does think of think of them as idiots (except for Shade.) Generally not doing the correct things at the correct times. Or sometimes it takes a day for them to realize something is missing or out of place. Overall, complete idiots.
