Ch 12: Fighting

Diana's POV

Around 11:30 pm

"Hey dia, can we talk?" Terra asks me in a quiet voice.

"Sure, what about?" I ask back, putting away my sketch book and taking my earbuds off.

"Can we talk outside?" Terra seems unsure of herself. I nod and follow her out of my room. "Thanks, i just feel like i am being watched when in the house." I nod and follow her out of the house. I know exactly how she feels. I have been feeling the same way all day.

"Hey love. Where are you going?" Daemon asks walking out of the living room with all of his notes from the day. He grabs his bag and puts the notes in it, leaving it in the

"Just outside to talk, i am guessing you want to come with." He smiles one of those smiles that make you smile too. One of those smiles that can't be faked. I smile back and hold out my hand, he grabs it in return. All three of us walk out to the north border where small hill sits that goes up into the forest that ends the territory. We lay down in the grass looking up to the stars and the moon. Home, i feel a bittersweet smile come on my face and Daemon squeezes my hand. Reminding me he is here and that everything is okay.

"I am sorry about earlier, it was uncalled for." Terra says looking up to the stars. "I know it is hard for you to play matchmaker and me saying that you are not being a good girlfriend was wrong. I don't know what it is like being in a relationship and i don't think i ever will. I can't imagine how hard it must be to keep it going smoothly, and you are such an amazing couple that i guess i was jealous. You have such an amazing love, and that is something i might not get. I know most gods don't even think of love and don't want it. But you guys have it. Maybe i just need some time to be normal, being as normal as possible at least." I get what she means. My mom frequently sends me to earth to be "normal" and "Live a little" and terra has her job. She doesn't get to just leave and take a step back. I know that her job is important also.

"It's okay, i know it must be hard on you not getting to move around much," I and know every word i am saying is true. "I feel like you are my sister that i never had, but always wanted. You are so amazing that i don't know what i would do without you." Daemon must have been feeling like he was being ignored because he pulls me closer with his wing and wraps me in his arms. Kissing the top of my head. "Both of you guys, are amazing. I really love you both."

"Well thanks love; I would hope you love me cause i love you. And one sided relationships are a pain." He says with a smirk that i can't see but know is there.

"And how would you know that, Huh?" Terra says with smile. "The only person you have ever put up with long enough to get to know has been Dia and I. And you have had your heart set on Dia since forever, and i would be shocked you know what it feels like to love another person and not be loved back because Dia obviously love you."

"Well he loves you too Terra. Just not in the romantic way. He loves you kind of like he is you big brother. Like how you are my sister. Although that would be really strange if you were his baby sis. I think Mel and Mar would be furious and happy at the same time. I don't really know how Nat and Lut would feel though." I say in thought liking the feeling of having someone's arms around me and just having a peaceful conversation for once.

"I think Nat and Lut would just accept that fact and then ignore her like they do now. Although they ignore everyone." Daemon would know this, i mean he lived with them until they started traveling and going on adventures. I think the most recent trip was in egypt, they wanted to run around the pyramids and see who could find all of the tomb sites where first, although they are serious and antisocial to most, when there is a competition involved they go big or go home. And going home is no option for them because traveling is what they do best.

I am starting to fall asleep when i hear something at the top of the hill. I assume it is a deer or some small animal because the noise was small and then stopped and didn't happen again. About 10 or so minutes pass of us laying in silence watching the stars and smiling at nothing until i hear the noise again. This time louder and closer to the edge of the woods.

Suddenly a growl comes from above and we are on our feet. I am still tired and want to fall asleep so i continue to hug Daemon and he hugs me. That is until a black wolf lunges himself at us and Daemon shoves me to the side, himself dodging to the opposite side. I stumble and fall, my foot stuck in a small hole in the hill. Stupid clumsy me, why now. I stand up and look at Daemon to see him and Thornrose fighting 3 or 4 wolves. Rogues I think when I identify them. I rush over to Terra and stand by her ready to fight. Sage appears right as 5 more wolves come from the woods and lunge at me. I grab Terra by the wrist and pull her behind me, leading the rogues to the even ground at the end of the hill. I don't have a bow and arrow and don't like fighting hand to hand, I could use my powers to summon my Moon-bow but don't want to unless needed. Terra has no training to fight, so I learned; she can also use her powers. Just because we are girls does not mean we can't be strong too.

The wolves follow me, although more and more are appearing. I kick one and push the other out of my way. Some start shifting into human form and some stay a wolf. The stronger ones fight Daemon. They take out a tranquilizer gun and aim at him, he flies into the air dodging it. One of the wolves near me tries to bite my shoulder, i turn and throw it to the ground, using the force of the wolf to hit the ones approaching slower. Terra turns right as a human rogue grabs her arm and holds her in place. She takes her free hand and pulls his hand off and kicks his leg. He tries to grab him again to only have vines hold him in place, they wrap around his legs and up his body to him arms. They wrap around his arms too and soon he can't move. Terra does not kill, she traps. Daemon flies to the ground hitting some of the rogues. When a few come at me I imagine a crescent moon in my hands and a thin line of stardust connecting the ends of the moon. I can't keep dodging and expect to win. My Moon-bow appears and i take aim at one of the wolves, almost like hunting. An arrow of silver appears on the string ready to be fired at the target. I let it go knowing what is going to happen. He drops mid jump and falls into a sleep. If he does not wake up in 48 hours he will die. Only the weak wolves die from a arrow from me. I make sure that they are strong but not deadly. Killing is not something i want to do.

I turn around aiming at a human rogue sneaking up on Terra. I let arrow after arrow fly and hit rogue after rogue. But more and more keep coming. Some are crumpled on the ground sleeping others are panicking because the vines Terra has trapped them in won't budge. Some or bruised and battered, unconscious on the hill because Daemon has fought them. I stop for a moment and feel a sharp prick in my shoulder. Soon Terra falls to the ground and Daemon is flying to me as i collapse too. A tranquilizer dart had hit Terra and I. Daemon grabs my hand and tries to keep me awake. But too soon he is hit with a dart too and I am falling asleep also. I feel my body being lifted and being carried away, maybe help came.

Or maybe the rogues have got me, if they do I hope that no one comes after me. Because if they do a war will start and lives will be lost. And I am sure that I can just teleport out of the grasp of the rogues and Daemon could do the same. Terra always finds away and her pixies will help her, I could also teleport her out also.

So maybe it doesn't matter what they do as long as my friends are okay.

Spring break officially stared yesterday for me. SO i may or may not update every other day. Also thanks to A-plum for telling what POV i should write this in and for help on the fighting scene. (I have no combat experience nor do i think i ever will)
