"I'm pregnant," Troye whispered looking down at his hands. He wasn't sure why that was the first thing to come out of his mouth, but it felt like a ton of bricks had been lifted off his shoulders when they did.
He waited for Joe to say something. A...
It was around 5 a.m. when Troye's plane landed in L.A. He was tired as hell and very hungry. The eleven hour flight have him a lot of time to think about everything. Joe, his life, the baby. Troye wasn't sure how he was going to go about everything but he knew leaving London was the best way to start. He wanted to start fresh, in a new place with new people. As long as he and the baby were fine, Troye knew everything would be okay.
Getting his luggage he looked around the busy airport in search for a certain short blond. Biting his lip he was about to pull out his phone but stopped when he heard that familiar loud voice calling his name followed by a cackle.
"Troye!" He turned around and was met with hair suffocating him and arms wrapped tightly around his waist. Troye didn't want to startle Tyler by pushing him off his stomach area so he subtly pulled away and tried to match his friends excitement even if he didn't feel it. He felt like complete shit if he was being honest and just wanted to crawl in bed and cry but that was exactly the opposite of what he came to California for.
"Hey Ty!" Troye said and wrapped an arm around Tyler's neck and kissed his soft hair. Tyler gushed and playfully slapped Troye away.
"Stahp!" Tyler blushed and took Troye's suitcase from his hand. It was really no secret that Tyler had a small crush on Troye, but who didn't? Only Tyler was good at hiding it and didn't dwell on his feelings for the Australian lad. Besides, Troye was already taken. "Let's go, I need sleep," Tyler groaned and pulled Troye by the hand, trying to find the exit through the busy sea of people. Troye wasn't claustrophobic but he was thankful when they finally made it outside to Tyler's slightly beat up green Honda.
Once in the car Tyler started to drive towards his apartment and Troye began to let his mind wander. "What was Joe doing?" "Was he with him?" "Was he missing me?" "Was he just as heartbroken?" At those questions Troye began to tear up. He still couldn't believe that all that had happened. And what he still couldn't understand is, why?
That night Joe never explained anything. All he did was say sorry then left. And Troye had hoped that it was all a joke. A sick twisted joke but a joke nonetheless. He wanted Joe to turn around and kiss him with everything he had. Wanted Joe to tell him it'd all be okay and then they'd start talking baby names and who they thought the baby was going to look like. In Troye's mind they were going to live a fairytale. And like all fairytales, they were pretty lies.
"Troye?" Wiping his eyes Troye smiled and turned to a worried looking blond. Tyler's lips were set in a straight line, his eyes glancing between Troye and the busy LA traffic. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Troye nods. He wasn't sure what he was going to tell Tyler nor did he know where to start. He knew Tyler wouldn't judge him but he was still a little scared to see his reaction.
-
An hour later they made it to Tyler's apartment. It had been a while since Troye last saw it but it was still as colorful as he remembered. Maybe even more. As Tyler was leading Troye to his room, Korey was coming out of his. He looked rather surprised to see the Australian boy but in a good way.
"Oh my god Troye!" He said as he brought him into a tight hug. "What are you doing here?" He asked looking back and forth between Troye and Tyler. Troye smiled.
"Just here to visit. Hope you don't mind." Korey shook his head.
"Of course not! Stay as long as you want," he reassured Troye who gave him a thankful smile. "Well we'll catch up later. I'm going out for a run. Bye hoes," he laughed as he walked out of the apartment. Tyler smiled and shook his head fondly at his best friend.
"You guys should get married," Troye teased. Tyler sent him a glare.
"You're a pig." Troye laughs and follows Tyler to the spare room he'll be using. It wasn't big but it was enough and had all the necessary. It was as colorful as the rest of the house and it seemed to have made Troye's mood a little better. "Well here you go, I hop everything is to your liking and if you need anything let me know." Troye smiled.
"Thanks Ty, you're a lifesaver." Tyler smiled softly and pulled him into a hug. Troye hadn't tolled him about anything that happened or why he suddenly decide to pop in for a visit. Over the phone Troye was a wreck and Tyler knew something was wrong. But he respected Troye's privacy and he'd wait for Troye to tell him on his own time.
Pulling away Tyler gave him one last smile and walked out of the room closing the door behind him. Troye sighed and looked at the clock: 7:20 a.m. Touching his small bump he crawled into bed and covered himself with the large blue blanket. Humming and rubbing his stomach he drifted off to sleep.
-
Two hours later Troye woke up hungrier than he'd ever felt. His stomach growled loudly. "Calm down," he said to his stomach as he got up from bed and walked out of his room. Padding down the hall he heard two voices in a deep but friendly conversation. One of them was Tyler's but the other he couldn't recognize.
Scratching his head he quietly entered the living room where the voices were coming from. There Tyler sat on the couch with a green-eyed-brown-haired boy. They stopped their conversation when they noticed Troye. He blushed under their stare.
"Good morning Tro! Are you hungry?" Tyler asked as he got off the couch and went to the kitchen which was connected to the living room. Troye nodded and managed out a quiet yes and crossed his arms over his stomach feeling insecure from other guys stare. Troye looks over at him from under his eyelashes and he can't ignore the way his heart flips when the guy smiles at him and walks over to Troye.
"Hi," the guy says and extends his hand. "I'm Connor."

A/N: They met! Finally!
I'm sorry for the late chapter but things have been kind of hectic and I don't really have that much time to write anymore. Who knew sophomore year would be hard?
But I'm officially on spring break so hopefully I have more time to write and thank you so much for the people that are patient and stick with me to read this not so great book.
