Phil's POV

There was some part of me that was jealous. Maybe it was because I was drinking. I never want to do that again. It'll never happen again, I promise myself.

I pulled my colorful cover to the side and stepped out of bed.

The house was almost too quiet. It was 3pm. How late did we stay up? I'm going to go apologize to Dan.

I walked down the hallway and opened his door, he was still asleep. Maybe I can talk to him about it later.

"Phil?" Dan whispered as I was heading out.

I turned around and he used a 'come here' hand motion.

"What?"

"Come lay with me."

I smiled and sat on the edge of his bed.

"Are you doing okay?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I was going to ask you that."

"I'm fine. I just wanted to apologize." My hands were fidgeting.

"Why?"

"About... Megan." I looked at him. "You're allowed to see whoever you want."

"Phil... you were drunk. I knew not to take that serious." He chucked a little.

Yeah....

"I should go." I said as I lifted myself off his bed.

"I'll be down in a few." He told me as I exited the room.

I grabbed my laptop and sat on the couch. Then the doorbell rang.

Who in the hell could that be?...

I opened the door to be greeted with the same slutty blonde from last night. Though she didnt look as provocative as she did last night. She had on a white pair of jeans with a grey tunic. Drunk Dan seemed to like her. I hope sober Dan wasn't into that.

"Is Dan here?"

I paused for a second.

"Um, no, he's out running some errands."

"Okay, tell him I stopped by?" She looked dissapointed.

"Yeah." I was quiet.

"Bye Phil." She smiled and waved.

Why did I just lie? I don't lie. She did seem pretty nice though.

"Who was that?" Dan asked as he grabbed a magazine off the coffee table.

"Oh, just a neighbor. She was looking for her dog." I lied again.

"That's odd." He said as he sipped his coffee.

"Yeah, right?" I shyly laughed. "Neighbors never come to us."

"They all seem to hate us." Dan agreed. "But hey, I'll be in my room if you need me."

I watched him walk away.

I lied. Again. What is wrong with me? Why do I care so much?
