Lost And Found

Chapter 24:One car ride away

The next day had passed,but still no sign of Bryan..It made me concerned what possibly happened to him,he didn't even reply to my messages!

Too many frustrations,my confusion led me to take a visit into his home which was only 1 car ride away..

Moments later..

*knock! Knock!*

I sent heavy knocks into his door,but didn't recieve any answer.
I made my way through his window,I noticed it was a little dusty,so I wiped it out with the handkerchief that I had kept In the purse I had been carrying around.
As I wipe the window,dust was flying in the air,so I covered my nose to avoid sneezing.
I then took a look inside the house,but realized that all the furniture inside were covered in sheets.

"What happened here?" I asked myself with a confused look.
"He wouldn't leave without saying so,would he?"

I was looking around to see if any of his neighbors were around,and I found my luck.
I saw a woman dressed in jeans and a green tshirt that seemed to look like in her mid-twenties. I approached her and called her attention,she faced me calmly and politely and listened to what I was supposed to say..

"Excuse me,Miss. Can I ask you something?" I ask hoping she would answer honestly.
"Yes?" She answered me with a British accent. I thought I was losing hope,thinking she doesn't live here,and won't be able to answer my question.
"Do you happen to live here?"
"Yes,of course. My home Is just 3 houses away. Why do you ask?"
"Umm,do you know where the owner of this home went?" I asked her,pointing at Bryan's home.
"Oh,Dr. Sterling? He left yesterday and transferred into a new home."
"Do you know where?
"Sorry,I don't know. Are you related to him?" She asked me.
"Oh,er- .. H-He's my friend.." I shakingly said to the woman.
The woman invited me into her home,she told me that she thought I was nice to talk with and the both of us became new friends.
She told me she was Gwen Sylvester,27 I was shocked when she told me she's already 27! She looks younger! Anyways,she also told me she works as a teacher in kindergarten.oh how cute is that? She told me a few about her favorite students. She also told me she married her highschool sweetheart. *sigh* she made me remember Austin. I told her about me too.

After our wonderful 'girl talk', I then thanked her for her courtesy and welcoming me into her home and for becoming my newly found friend and I left going back home.
