Chapter 26:Friendly marriage

3 days later..

April 9th.
I marked my calendar for Gigi's or should I say, soon-to-be-Mrs.Isle's wedding to Kendrick.

The two of them have been together for a long time now. Maybe more than 4 years? Yah,that's worth settling in for..

Gigi sure does have luck in love, Kendrick is her first boyfriend and neither did she have heartbreaks from him. She's so lucky to have him. I always hoped that all the boys would be like Kendrick. Smart,kind,caring,loving,protective, and everything every girl could have ever asked for.

*sigh*

And now here I am sitting on a make-up chair and looking at myself in the mirror dressed in my 'Maid of honor' gown,while different talented make-up artists do my make-up.

Once I was done,I went to the other room where Gigi was together with her mom,Aunt Rita fixing her dress.

A tear rolled down through my face as I see Gigi with her wedding dress holding a bouquet of flowers in hand and a wedding ring that's about to be placed into her ring finger.

It took back memories of both of us back in High School. Those days where we would promise each other that we'd still be best friends even though we were already married,Those days that we would imagine the things that would happen 5 years from now.

Oh those days. I would surely miss them. Today my best friend's life would be changed for good.

But there's no reason for me to feel vein as she gets married and I'm not,because I'm happy for her and of what she has. I'm happy she had achieved all those things we imagined back in High School.

As Gigi sees the tears slowly rolling down unto my face,she approaches me giving me a tight,big hug.

Rubbing my back as if comforting me,she possibly knows why I'm crying. Tsk tsk,she knows me too much.

As we leave the hotel where we prepared for the wedding,the white wedding car had arrived to drive us unto the church.

I was riding with the driver,Aunt Rita and the Bride herself.

We depart from the vehicle as we start marching through the aisle.

I walked in first between the 3 of us.
I walked slowly and carefully behind the flower girls.

Photographers were everywhere to take pictures of the wedding entourage and its guests.

I arrive at my seat that was in the front row just a few inches away from the Bridegroom who were standing before the priest and were near the altar.

I listened to every word the priest had to say regarding love and marriage.

Until it had to came to the exciting part..

Priest:Do you Kendrick Isle,take Gigi Beverly as your wife for richer for poorer for better or for worse until life do you part?

Kendrick:I do..

He says with a serious tone.

Priest:Do you Gigi Beverly,take Kendrick Isle as your husband for richer or for poorer for better or for worse until life do you part?

Gigi:I do!

Gigi says as she giggles after.

Priest:You may now kiss the bride!

The crowd cheers for the couple as they make their first kiss as a husband and wife.

They shared an intimate kiss that almost lasted to more than 10 seconds! Oh love..
