Chapter 6: I love you,goodbye

The next day i came early in coming to school and since classes starts at 7 am we still have time to catch up so i sat beside Gigi, while i was talking to her, a dark shadow appeared behind me, so i turned around just to see Austin..great..what does he want now?

Austin:Can we talk? Privately?

Without even further or do, he grabbed my arm and dragged me going to the school garden..

Kate:So you were saying?

Austin:yeah,ummm..about that, i'm sorry to say this..
*sigh* I-i'm transferring schools in LA and live there for 5 years..I'm really sorry...

Kate:LA?! b-but why? New York's great isn't it? And five years? For crying out loud, five years..wow!

Those words came out of my mouth. LA,really? Isn't New York enough for him? After all that we have done together,He's just gonna leave me for 5 straight years?! I loved him..but why? Why did he have to leave??

Austin:i'm really sorry..i understand if you can't forgive me for just suddently leaving..its just that my family and i are moving there,my dad got a new job there as an engineer,and there's a better life there waiting for us..i hope you understand..we leave this afternoon from now. I didn't want to tell you the news yet before coz i don't want to freak you out..,but before we leave,I'd drop by your house to say goodbye..who knows maybe 5 years from now,We'll be seeing each other again..only destiny knows..

Kate:I understand..

Austin:Kate,listen..promise me that even after i leave,you won't forget me..

Kate:I promise..

Austin:and just to make sure you won't..keep this souvenier as a sign of me..

He grabbed my palm and placed a circle-shaped locket which had our faces in it..it made me a little teary-eyed..

Kate:I promise to never forget you..You'll always be my friend..

Austin:ouch..friend-zoned..

That afternoon..

Kate:do you really have to go?

Austin responded to me with a sorrowful nod,i could never forget him..i know he might be annoying and perverted sometimes,but that's just what makes him the best of himself. And now i had to say goodbye to the only man i have ever loved..oh why? Why is it that the people whom i love the most always leave me behind?

Austin:bye!

He waved at me as he leaves my bedroom door and enters his dad's car..the moment he closed the door i left out a slight sigh and said..

Kate:I love you,Goodbye..
