Chapter 25: Hospital duty

I went home with a sigh of relief,but found no hope..
Gwen told me he transferred into a new home,but where?
I decided to pay a visit into the hospital to visit my co-workers and buy my mother medicine since she's feeling a bit sick..

As I close the front door to catch a cab going unto the hospital, Aunt Sally, My mom's best friend,caught me in sight,whilst driving her car..

Aunt Sally:Catherine! Where are you off to?
Kate:Aunt Sally,Good noon! I'm off to the hospital to fetch my mother some medicine.. She's a little bit off the weather at the moment..
Aunt Sally:Mind if I take you there?
Kate:Its alright,Aunt Sally,I can handle..
Aunt Sally:For the sake of your enormous belly,you have to.. Come on,no excuses..

Oh typical,Aunt Sally..
I hop into her vehicle and feel the warm breeze approach my skin how peaceful it was without Bryan,He would always come with me if I go outside the house,do things for me but now,He's gone.. Where was he?

Out of no time,Aunt Sally dropped me off to the hospital and wished me a good day along with a safety greeting.

I enter the front gate and Mr.Pasteur the security guard,gladly opened the door for me with a warm smile on his face.

I approach Gigi who was in the nurse lounge at the moment,I try my best not to get noticed so I could surprise her. But lucky for her bright,brown eyes she caught me..

Gigi:Kate! Thank goodness you're here! How's my cute little nephew?
She joyfully says as she approaches me and gently rubs my pregnant belly.

I forgot how the city was ever so cheerful when I was busy facing 'The circle of life'.
Genuine smiles greeting me everywhere,kind greetings,and warm,sunny and familiar faces all approach me as they bless me and the child I'm about to bore. And out of nowhere Gigi called my attention..

She grabs my arm and leads me inside the nurse lounge and lets me take a seat..

Kate:Oh,I get it.. You want to talk about something?
Gigi nods her head in agreement to my statement.
Kate: But before you say so,I have to ask you something first..
Do yo know where Bryan went?
Gigi:Honestly,no. But he did resign from his job hours ago..
Kate:What? Why?
Gigi:dunno.. but who cares bout that scumbag? I have some great news!
Kate:Alright,Lets hear some..
Gigi:There's a new doctor in town!
Kate:Really? Who is it?
Gigi:I dunno,but I heard its a male!
Kate:When's he coming?
Gigi:Next week!
