I blinked my dry eyes and stared at the door.
He didn't stop. He didn't wait. He didn't say a word. He didn't turn back to look at me once. He just walked away, leaving me.
I felt a lump forming in my throat and my eyes blurred out on vision. A moment later, a figure appeared in front of my eyes. I blinked the tears away and they rolled down my cheek. My vision cleared and I saw him standing in front of me.
Manik walked closer to me, standing right in my breathing space. His hands cupped my cheeks and his lips landed over mine. It took me sometime to absorb in the surprise but when I did, I kissed him back with equal eagerness.
He left my lips and pressed his to my forehead. My hands flew over his shoulder from underneath his arms and I held onto him.
"Sorry," he whispered with his lips still there.
"Why are you back?" I asked in a weak voice.
He looked down to meet my eyes and I did the same. His hands rested on my waist, pulling me to him.
"I want you to come with me." He said.
A sparkle of joy evolved within me and my lips stretched into a smile, "Are you sure?" I asked him being cautious about it. I did want to know whatever he was hiding but I didn't want to force it on him. I felt heartbroken when he left me a few minutes ago but I didn't to force my will over him.
"I am." He replied with a faint smile that vanished even before it could set properly over his lips, "I don't want to hide anymore.. I want to give you the choice to choose now." His eyes turned sad and he looked away.
I stood up on my tip toes and touched his face to make him see me, "Whatever it will be Manik, I want you to know that.. I'll always choose to be with you." I looked in his eyes and told him the only truth of my life now. He bent down to take my mouth into his and his arms circles tightly around me.

I ran my eyes around the surroundings. What place were we in?
The entire car drive I didn't ask anything to him and he didn't say anything to me. We were quite, lost in our own heads.
It was some type of an isolated alley. There were some guys and girls, smoking, all drunk, eyeing me like I was some kind of an alien to them. I mean, yeah.. I could have been, considering the way they looked. They looked like those movie goons having a badass girl, clinging to their arms while they're eyeing some innocent person with their hawk like eyes. I felt like a prey, walking amongst an alley of beasts.
Manik just kept walking, like he was taking his morning stroll, nothing bothered him. His hold on me was tight though and, he would keep looking at me every now and then. Watching my scared face, he put his arm across my shoulder, pulling me to him. His cologne made its way into my nostrils and even though I was in a shady, dingy place, it made me feel somewhat better.
"Manik, don't tell me you're some kind of a criminal or something..." I whispered to him. He looked at me, giving me an amused look.
"What?" I widened my eyes, "Are you some kind of a goon or something dealing with drugs? Mafia?" My eyes widened with every possibility that I recited. He just look at me and a smile crept on his lips.
"How many movies do you watch?" He asked.
"Enough to know if you're into something dangerous.." I whispered again.
"Its nothing of that sort, don't run your smartass brain." He snorted and shaking his head, dragged me along.
After walking through the shady alley, we were finally standing in front of a house. It was no less than a house for goons. The walls had graffiti done over, with a faded white colour to them. He knocked the door of the house and I heard footsteps approaching from the other side.
