Chapter 42; Prim's Wedding

Katniss POV

  Prim's wedding is being held today. I am surprised the baby didn't come yet because she was due to get here two days ago. I just hope I don't go into labor during the wedding.

  Prim isn't nervous at all which is good. We are all at a hotel getting ready like we did for my wedding.

When I put on my dress, I realize how huge my stomach is. This dress makes it look even bigger than usual. Prim comes out in her beautiful wedding gown and we all gasp.

" Prim, you look beautiful!," I say as she looks at herself in the mirror.

  " Thank you," she replies. " What time is it?," she asks us.

" 1:45pm," my mother says and her face has a nervous expression on it.

  " Okay we have to go!" she says as we stand up and head out of the door. We go into the limo which takes us to where her ceremony will be.

  She decided to get married in a place inside since it was so hot outside. We go into this bright building with many windows that lets the sun through. It adds a happy feeling to the atmosphere.

  Peeta is in the wedding as well. He is one of Andrew's groomsmen. I didn't expect him to pick Peeta as one but I am glad he did. We could be in the wedding together.

  The music begins to play which means the bridesmaids have to start walking out. A few of Prim's friends and I make up her bridesmaids. I am first to walk out. Peeta is at the front already with the other groomsmen and we make eye contact. He smiles as I begin to walk down the aisle. I feel like everyone is staring at my giant belly but I try not to think of that. I just keep my eyes on Peeta as I walk to the end.

The next people to come out were Prim's other bridesmaids. They all are nice people. I talked to them when we were getting ready in the hotel. When they all line up behind me it is Prim's turn to walk out.

She looks so happy. It reminds me when I got married to Peeta. Her arm is wrapped around our fathers arm as he leads her down the  aisle to Andrew. I think she is crying. This makes a tear slip from eye and down my cheek when I remember how I felt at my wedding at that moment. I quickly wipe it away.

  When she gets to the end of the aisle our dad gives her a kiss on the cheek and gives her hand to Andrew. The man goes on about being married and how wonderful it is. Finally I hear him say " Andrew, do you take Primrose Everdeen as your wife?"

  " I do," Andrew says as he slips the ring on Prim's finger.

" And Primrose, do you take Andrew as your husband?" he continues.

  " I do!" she says giggling. She slips his ring on his ring finger.

  " Okay, well I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride," he tells Andrew and they share a long kiss.

  They join hands and walk back down the aisle smiling as everyone claps. The bridesmaids and groomsmen wrap their arms around each others as well and follow the bride and groom down the aisle.

  I get to Peeta and wrap my arm around his.

  " You look beautiful," he tells me and I smile.

  " Thank you! And you look very handsome!" I reply and he laughs.

  When we are out of view of the audience, all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen let go of each others hand except for Peeta and I. He leans in for a kiss and I lean in as well.
