Katniss POV

I have to go to a few stores which means I have to leave Peeta home with Willow. I'm not sure how I feel about this. It makes me a little nervous because she is only two weeks old and I don't want anything to go wrong. I know he will take good care of her but there is still a side of me that is nervous to leave them alone.

" Katniss, don't worry so much. We will be fine," he tells me.

" Are you sure?," I ask him and he comes over to give me a kiss.

" I am absolutely sure," he says. " I know how to take care of her."

I nod. I give him a kiss and leave the house. I have my phone fully charged just in case there is any type of emergency. I know I need to calm down. They will be alright.

When I get to the grocery store, I grab a cart and walk in. I know that I need things for the baby like diapers so I keep that in mind. I go to pick up some fruits and vegetables that we may need for making dinner. Next I go to the bread section which I like the least. It reminds me of the first time I ran into Gale after our break up. It happened right here in the aisle that am in. I grab the bread that I want and leave the aisle quickly.

When I was going to the meat section, I saw a lady with a baby in her cart. I can tell the baby is a girl and a few months older than Willow. This makes my mind go back to Willow. I just began to get my mind off of the fact that she is home with Peeta. I begin to get nervous so I decide to call Peeta. The phone rings for a while and then Peeta finally answers.

" Katniss. Is everything okay?," he asks me.

" I was calling to ask the same thing," I say and then I notice Willow crying in the background.

" Everything is fine," he tells me.

" Is that Willow crying in the background?," I ask him and he stutters a bit.

" Yes," he admits. " she won't stop crying," he tells me and I get nervous.

" Did you feed her," I ask him nervously.

" Yeah, I did. And I changed her diaper and put her in her rocker for a while but she wont stop crying. I think she needs you," he tells me.

" Okay, well I am coming home right now," I say quickly. I put the meat that I picked out in the cart and quickly go to the check out line.

I quickly put everything on the belt that leads to the cash register. I get frustrated when the cashier moves kind of slow.  I am panicking right now. What if there is really something wrong with Willow. Finally, the cashier finishes ringing everything up and I pay what I owe. I leave the store quickly and put everything in the trunk of my car. I pull of and head home.

When I get to the house I swiftly walk up to the house and open the door. I can hear Willow still crying. When I walk into our room I see Peeta with a nervous face, holding Willow in his arms and rocking her back and forth. I quickly walk over to them and look at Willow.

" Oh what's the matter sweetheart," I say rubbing down her soft hair. I take her out of Peeta's hands and bounce her up and down. " What's wrong," I say in a baby voice. She begins to quiet down and give her a kiss. I look up to see Peeta staring at us with a disappointed expression.

" Peeta?," I ask and he sits down. " Peeta what happened?"

" I'm a terrible dad. I couldn't even watch her while you were gone," he tells me and I frown. I feel bad that he feels this way.

" Peeta, don't say that. You are an amazing dad. You just have to get the hang of things," I tell him and walk over to him and give him a kiss.

" I know you're just saying that," he tells me. He stands up and leaves the room without saying another word.

I sit in our bedroom with Willow for a while until she goes to sleep. I still need to go to other stores. Maybe we can go to the mall. I stand up and take Willow to the living room where Peeta is.

" Hey, Peeta? I don't know if you would want to come but I am going to the mall. I would love your company," I tell him.

" You want me to come?," he asks me and I nod. He stands up and puts his shoes on as I place a sleeping Willow in her car seat. When we leave the house I drive the car to a large mall that Peeta and I use to go to when we weren't so busy with Willow. When we pull up and find a parking space Peeta and I get out of the car and go to the trunk where Willows stroller is. I take her carseat and connect it to the stroller and we roll her into the mall.

I wanted to go to another store to get some things for Willow. I go into a baby store and go to the back where the newborn clothes are. Peeta has been quiet ever since I came home. I just hope he doesn't really think he is a bad father. I pick out a few pink outfits and buy them. When we leave the story we both agree that we are hungry so we decide to go to a restaurant.

" Where do you want to go?," Peeta asks me.

" We can go to that burger place," I suggest and Peeta nods. This place is a restaurant in the mall so it is easy to get to. When we get there they seat us. Willow is wide awake so I take her out of her cars seat to hold her for a while. I look at her and smile.

" She is the cutest baby I have ever seen," I say and Peeta smiles.

" Yea," he says softly.

" You okay?," I ask him. He nods but doesn't say anything. When I am about to ask him again, the waitress comes over to us.

She introduces herself and gives us menus. She looks at Willow who is staring up at me. " Oh what a cute little baby," she exclaims and I smile wide.

" Thank you!," I say looking down at Willow and bouncing her up and down. We order our food and the waitress leaves.

" Peeta are you sure you're okay?," I ask him. " You have been quiet ever since I came home from the grocery store."

" I just wish that I am as good as you are with Willow. I had a small task and I failed at it. That frustrates me a little bit," he tells me. I frown.

" Peeta she's just a baby. You are a great dad and I know you love her," I say.

" I really do," He adds.

" Then that's all that matters, right," I tell him and he nods in response. " Here," I say passing Willow over the table. He quickly grabs her gently and holds her close as usual.

" You are fine with her now," I tell him. He looks up at me and smiles.

" Yeah, I guess I am," he replies with a smile as he looks down at  the content baby in his arms.
