Hannah POV

We are a now a week further into trying to help Quinn figure out her gift.  She has became very frustrated over the week, watching the news, and reading the papers as more and more people disappear.  I knew she was blaming herself, she had even distanced herself from me.  She wouldn't let me kiss her anymore, she always turned her head.  I basically couldn't even touch her.  I didn't know what was going on, but I just gave her the space she needed.

"We are running out of time," Trent hissed at me.  I looked around the backyard as snow covered the ground, I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Do you not think I know this, we are already in winter, which means we only have a couple of more months before the school year ends." I snapped back at him.

"We are just sitting around, letting  her get bigger and stronger.  I have gained a few more packs, and you have your army.  Let's just ambush her and take out some of her army, instead of sitting on our asses and wait."

"What good does that do, if we can't take out the leader Trent?" I asked him getting annoyed.

"It sends a message that we aren't scared, that we aren't sitting around waiting for her to make the first move."

"What if it starts the war to soon, before Quinn gains her abilities, if she dies Trent we will not survive."

"I would rather go down fighting, then waiting for her ambush which you know is coming.  She's not going to wait much longer, if we pull all of us together tonight, we can take out a lot of her army.  She always goes hunting when the sun goes down.  If we wait until she leaves, we won't have to worry about her.  She doesn't even know that we have found her valley."

I just shook my head, I knew it was a bad idea.  "I'm in," when I turned Zander was walking towards us smiling.

"No, my father strictly said we needed to wait until the gift was at it's fullest." I said looking at both of them.

"Your father is not my ruler, I am the Alpha of my pack, which means I make my own rules.  Me and my followers are attacking tonight with or without you."  He said before heading back into the woods.

I walked into the house slamming the door behind me, "idiot," I mumbled to myself.

I looked up and my father was standing in the door way, "What's the problem?"

"Don't play stupid, you already know." I said trying to walk by him.

"He has been faithful to us, maybe a little faithfulness in return would be good."  I just stopped and looked at him.

"I believe your words exactly were no war until the full powers are reached, and unless you have a magic wand for that to happen before sun down, then there will be a war soon after tonight."

He just shook his head and look down at me, "Maybe a war is just what we need." He said before turning and walking off.

I just threw my hands in the air, "I give up," I mumbled as I walked around the house.  "Why would a war sooner be a good thing, and why would putting our armies in harm way be good.  Yes we may take out some of hers, but ours would suffer also.  I could hear banging around upstairs, I just shook my head.  I didn't know what she was doing, nor did I feel that I needed to disturb her right now.

"So are we in our out," Zander said sitting beside me on the couch.

"I'm guessing we are in, I can't let Trent go in alone."

"Great, I've been needing to tear some things apart," he said jumping off the couch.  "What the hell are you waiting for, go gather the army."

I walked around the men and women standing at attention for me, "Tonight some will die, and some will come home, the main goal is to take out as many of Meredith's people as we can.  When she returns we will leave, there is no use trying to fight her, when we can't win."  They all nodded their head, this is what they were made for.  They were made to fight, but it still didn't mean I liked sending them into a battle.  "We wait for Trent's packs, we all attack together.  Be brave, be strong, and try to come home."
