 Atticus's pov.

Beads of sweat formed on my head and I attempted to wipe them away as I stood on top of a almost 500 ft. cliff, regretting the bet I made earlier.  Just shows you not to make bets with a villain master mind anymore.

I turned and grinned at Lillith, who stood, arms crossed, waiting.  But what if she didn't catch me? What if she really didn't love me, and this was just an excuse to kill me? " I'm waiting," she said, tapping her foot.

" Of course......." I stared into the distance.

" You're not scared are you? You know I wouldn't let my groom fall to his death, surely. " She inspected her nails. " Unless I suddenly decide to change my mind."

" Haha, hopefully NOT."  I turned backwards, stretched out my arms, and fell.

10 ft.

50  ft.

150 ft.

300 ft.

400 ft.

489 ft.

Oh no Oh no Oh no!!!

I screamed as soft arms wrapped around my body, and I was swiftly pulled towards the sky.  When I was thrown onto the dust of the Earth, Lillith floated above me, cackling evilly.  " You didn't trust me," she teased.

" Oh I'm soooo sorry.  Was I supposed too?"  I stood and playfully pushed her down. She moaned jokingly.  " You are NOT allowed to push your master. "

I held her down. " Well YOU are not allowed to frighten the crap out of your soon to be HUSBAND, your majesty."

" I will burn you. "

" Not if you can get up."

For a brief moment, there was silence, and all that was around us was each other, alone, with no cares in the world, no HUMANS to try and kill us, nothing.......

" We need to get back to the castle."  I released her wrists as she stood, wiping dirt from her back.

" Yeah, come on. "

We walked to the castle, holding hands like nothing could tear us apart.

When we arrived, there were soldiers.......

Blocking our way.

Lillith stood her ground. " Leave now and I won't kill you. "

" Oh, but Lillith, what would be the fun in that?"

When Lillith spun around, her face grew pale as snow and she started quivering. " Wot is it? " I whispered.

She turned her eyes to me.  " It's him, " she replied hoarsely.  " The one who shot my mother. "
