2 yrs. later........
" NO." Atticus crossed his arms. " Bloody hell no. "
Lillith grinned. " Come on, it'll be fun."
" 1st off, you're six yrs. old. And I'm pretty sure some NORMAL little girl would not ask her BEST FRIEND to throw them off a cliff just to prove that they can fly. What if your wings aren't working? It's been two yrs. since you used them if you haven't noticed." He set his face.
Lillith stood straighter and narrowed her eyes. " I am the Master of this place, Atticus, we agreed to that. Now you WILL throw me off THIS cliff. YOU WILL watch me fly.
Atticus laughed and bowed. " Yes, your Excellence. "

4 yrs. later
" ATTICUS!"
Within moments the lights were turned on, the door was thrown open, and Atticus was at her side, holding her hand. " Wot's the matter Love?" he asked gently as Lillith cried.
" I......I've been having dreams. And.....And thoughts."
" About wot?"
Lillith struggled to speak. " A.....about my mom dying again. And..my thoughts.......have....turned dark."
" Wot do you mean dark?" Atticus kissed her hand.
" Like...when I think of mortals, I .......... I want them to....................."
" To what Love?"
" To die. I've had visions of me standing over them. And all I can ever say is, is that I'm sorry." she curled into Atticus. " I'm scared. I don't want to turn dark. "
Atticus smoothed her hair. " Lillith, we are who we are. And they can either be for the right or wrong reasons. But sometimes we who think dark can be made heroes with our thoughts, even if we are cruel.
" If you are a villain, then you are a villain. If you are a hero you are a hero. " He kissed her and laughed. " But you really shouldn't worry. Good or Bad, you're my hero."
