Lillith's pov.

I needed to stop, take a break. But I couldn't. I WOULD NOT rest until I found Atticus. First off, I wanted answers. Second off, I might just throw him over the cliff and just NOT catch him.

Questions swirled my mind as me and my monster made our way through the city. Why Atticus? Why would you hurt me?

Didn't you love me?
Didn't you ever care?
Did I do something wrong?
What?

But all these questions I knew were going to remain unanswered. He'd probably laugh and fight.

Definitely not the Atticus I once new.

* BOOM* A bullet whizzed passed my head.

* BOOM* Another one. " MOVE! MOVE! "

Together the monster and I sped onward, dodging bullets left and right.

We were doing great, until,

Ah Crap.

Various police cars swarmed us as did the FBI. Multiple guns were pointed at my head. " You may not want to run, " warned one.

I smiled. " And you MIGHT not want to point that at my head. "

I stretched out my hands and they stepped back a little, frightened. " Oh, what's the matter? Scared of a few bruises?"

One officer, more than likely the leader, with a brown beard and hair, and green eyes, glared at me. " Don't move. "

" I laughed. " No sir. It is YOU who might not want to move. "

It was all over in a flash. I had jumped off my pet and released a brilliant light from my wings that blinded them all.  Then, the monster roared loudly and backed them into a corner. It smiled malevolently. " Now who's the prey?"

I looked at the sad group for a moment, then sighed. " Let 'em go. "

That's when I got hit,

With something sharp,

And blacked out just as my monster was put to sleep.

By a boy with sliver hair......

And shining blue eyes.
