The man was as known to be as Jacob Kinnlestone. One of the most rudest men alive. His eyes were almost a pure black, and his hair was a frozen white that seemed to never melt. His grin was malevolent, but his teeth were a perfect white.
To both Lillith and Atticus's sake, he was the devil.
Jacob held out his hand. " Come to me Lillith, you know you must. "
Lillith's eyes hardened. " I would never step into the darkness of the devil, no matter how evil I am."
Jacob laughed. " But Lillith, you seem to be missing the point. You take my hand, and you'll never have to worry again. No one will be out to hunt you, no one will stare at you with hatred anymore. Doesn't it seem .........well peaceful?"
" No Lillith," said Atticus.
But Lillith's eyes had already softened. " Really? No more pain?"
" Lillith," warned Atticus.
Jacob smiled warmly, thinking he had finally gotten through to her, after all these years. " Yes, Lillith, no more. Just think how happy you'll be. "
" Yes. yes I can see it," whispered Lillith and she started moving her feet, towards his direction.
Atticus couldn't bare it. " LILLITH!"
Lillith turned and settled her eyes on him. " Have your soldiers hold him. You wouldn't want to ruin this moment, would you?"
Jacob grinned. " Of course not." He motioned a hand towards his soldiers and they grabbed hold of a screeching Atticus's arms. " Lillith! Don't listen to him!"
Jacob stretched out his hand. " Take it," he urged.
Lillith reached out her own, slowly, and grabbed hold of his. She smiled at him with pleasure. " Thank you sir," she whispered.
Jacob looked into her eyes. " Whatever for?"
Lillith's eyes darkened. " For being the biggest idiot to walk the Earth.
" ATTICUS!!!!!!!"
In a flash Atticus had relieved himself of the soldiers and sent them flying across the ground. Lillith tightened her grip on Jacob, whose eyes filled with fear, and flipped him over onto his back. Then she froze him, and his eyes stayed fixed into hers. " You forget, " she whispered. " How smart I am. I'll never bow to you, I'll never become your pet. And I'm smart enough to know that you were going to kill me. " She turned in disgust. She pointed to Atticus, who had just chased the soldiers away. " Put him somewhere quickly, before the freeze wears off. Somewhere he won't be able to know. " She smiled. " Can't have him showing up again now can we?"
Atticus laughed. " Of course master. "
