I looked at Maia shocked and put Riley down telling her to go upstairs
"Who is?" I asked making her sit on the couch next to me
"It's all my fault" she sobbed
"What happened?" I asked
"I called him and we were speaking and he told me he was driving but I didn't listen and kept talking so he was being nice and kept me on the line then he screamed and I heard crashing then more screams and then the line went dead. I then got a ring from him so I answered and it was the hospital using his phone and told me a truck hit him then they said he died on impact." She sobbed
"Who was it Maia?" I asked softly and she looked up at me and sniffles.
And I didn't know the name she said next would bring my world crashing down instantly.
"Rory"
