Chapter 6

We get out of the car parked in the busy streets of London.

"What does everyone want to eat?" Kyara asks.

"I don't mind" I reply.

"Me neither" says Dan.

"How about Wagamama's we've never eaten there before and Zoella has said it's really good on her vlogs" Kyara says.

"Yeah, that place is really great you guys should try it out. I'll lead the way since you haven't been in London that long. It's just down the road from Trafalgar Square" says Dan.

We walk down a few blocks and finally find Wagamama's in all its pride and glory. We walk sit at the back of a restaurant. And we look at the menu. The waiter comes around a minute later asking what drinks we'd like.

"We'll all just have cokes please" says Kyara smiling at the waiter.

"And for the food?" the waiter continues.

"I'll have the chicken katsu curry thanks" Kyara says

"I'll have the yaki soba" says Dan.

"And I'll have the same as her" I say gesturing to Kyara.

"Okay your drinks will be out in a second, can I have you menus?"

"Yeah" Kyara says and hands all of our menus over.

"Enjoy your meal" the waiter smiles at us and walks away.

"Okay let's cut through the small talk about what are all the other YouTubers like" Kyara says directing herself to Dan.

"Uh most of them are nice some are pretty materialistic but Phil and I stay out of their ways most of the time" Dan answers.

"Aw come on aren't you going to talk any smack about youtubers, these days anyone will throw shade at you" Kyara continues.

"How about Zoe and Joe Sugg what are they like, are they nice" Kyara prods.

"Yeah there really nice, both of them are really down to earth and sweet" Dan says.

"What about you guys, you know a lot about me but I hardly know anything about you" Dan continues.

"Well what do you want to know?" Kyara says.

"Uh what's it like in Australia" Dan says picking the most obvious first question.

"Well it's really hot there are really big bugs and every animal or bug is out to get you pretty much" says Kyara.

"Well the stereotypes aren't too off then" says Dan.

"What about your family, any siblings?" Dan asks.

"I don't have any siblings but Ella has two sisters Ava and Piper how old are they again?" Kyara asks me.

"There about 7 and 6 now" I answer.

"You?" questions Kyara.

"Yeah I have a younger brother his name is Adrian he's 19 now" Dan replies.

"Oh that's really cool we're the same age" Kyara smiles.

"Yeah he had to delete all his social accounts due to all the fans, no offence" Dan says.

"It must be really hard for him with all that unwanted attention" I say.

"Yeah it's really hard for him to make proper friends because a lot of the people are either are fake or are haters" Dan says a frown comes across his face. The waiter comes over and distributes our drinks.

"I'll be back with your food in a moment" The waiter smiles and walks off.

"Soooo do you have any girlfriends off YouTube" Kyara asks wasting no time.

"No not at the moment. I would think that my YouTube channel would have taught you that I'm too awkward to interact with human beings" Dan answers with a laugh.

"Well I know plenty of girls who would date you" Kyara says winking at me I was actually considering screaming at her 'what the hell was wrong' with her but instead I just go red from both anger and embarrassment.

"Well no luck for me in the dating world right now" Dan says. The waiter finally comes with our food.

"Ugh that looks to die for" Kyara says grabbing her knife and fork. We all dig into our meals and it was to die for. After we get up Kyara and I half the check and we go back out into the busy streets of London.

"Okay I'll go get the cutlery and my bed and you go grocery shopping" Kyara says.

"You better go with her, god help that cashier when she takes 5 minutes to differentiate between £10 and £100" Kyara says.

"Glad to be of service" Dan says raising his hand in a salute. Dan tells Kyara some directions to cutlery places and Kyara then heads off to the car to get her bed and waves at us as we drive off.

"Where do you even go for food?" I say to Dan already having no idea what to do.

"Tesco is good and it's around the corner from the apartment" Dan says.

Now Kyara has left me alone with a guy of my dreams and my brain is only starting to realise he's only human like me and you (I don't know how that's possible) and she knows that I can't even be around guys that I don't know or care about. Let alone Dan freaking Howell so this is going to go dandy. By the way my voice is still at a pitch that dogs can hear so that's also great.

"So what's it like in Australia" Dan says trying to break and already awkward silence.

"Well compared to here there are a lot more bugs and it's a lot hotter and most animals try to kill you. What's England like, since I haven't been here for very long" I say.

"It rains a lot, its mostly cold there are a lot of noisy buses and sometimes you might even see the queen walk down the street" Dan says smiling.

"I'll make sure to keep an eye out, how does she like to be greeted? Hand shake, curtsy or a polite hello" I say smiling up at him.

"Well I think a curtsy will be just fine" he says with a chuckle. We catch a train back to the station near the apartment.

"Well since I'm the awkwardest human in the world and you say you are as well, I want to be friends with you because 1) I have no other friends here except Kyara and 2) you have embarrassingly found out I'm am a fan so it would be an amazing opportunity to get know the off camera Dan as long as you want to be my friend of course" I say in a nervous jitter.

"Well if I didn't like you I wouldn't have helped you set up that bed and done all that manual labor so yes I don't hate you" Dan says

"How do you suggest getting to know each other" Dan asks.

"Well I have always found 20 questions very effective" I say

"Twenty one questions it is" Dan says with a cute smile. We get off our train and start to walk to the food store as I start to think of questions to ask Dan Howell.
