I was watching him like a hawk. And Mackenzie too. I had to admit that my little brother was pretty clueless and naive.
I guess it's not his fault though, because he's one of those people where you have to say it slowly in your loudest voice for him to fully understand. That would explain his countless failing grades in his lecturing classes.
"Oh Tyler." I sighed to myself.
Tyler and Macky where sitting on the couches that sat in front of the television watching some horror flick that Mack was really into.
I'm giving him this chance, this chance some people would kill for, no pun intended. In a way I suppose, I'm kind of doing it for selfish reasons. I watched and heard Mackenzie talking herself through it. The suicide. Completating all the consequences, everything she was giving up. That's whenever she had stopped, looked into her vanity mirror, and reminded herself that she had nothing to give up.
I will forever have that image engraved in my head of her dying, becoming more and more helpless.
And then watching Tyler watching those tapes that she made. And watching his life crumble around him. And knowing that if Mack was gone, he was gone too.
Mackenzie simply didn't understand that their souls where already connected, that when she would die he would too. Or she did and was just sick of giving so much and not getting anything at all. Tyler was not what you call a grateful person.
But, that was only ignorance.
I have to say that if Mack had wings, she could pass as an angel. She was that good. That's why she was so good to Tyler. Even when Tyler was a jackass, she still held sympathy, compassion, and most of all.
Love.
And he loved her too. Sublimally, he loved her just as much as she loved him. He was just asleep in that part of his head and it took something like Mackenzie ending her life to wake him up.
So, I decided that Tyler Landry deserved a second chance.
Not only that, but I'm a sucker for a good love story.
