I was holding Alex's hand when I felt a squeeze. I looked up and saw Alex trying to open his eyes.

I call the doctors in, they all came rushing in the pushed me out of the room.

Mom, Katie and Shawn were all waiting in waiting room.

They all looked at me and saw that I was still crying. Kat got up and hugged me.

"Um Alex is waking up" I say.

Kat released from the hug immediately after I said that. She looked at me and studied my face.

"Are you serious?!" Kat finally says.

"Yes I'm serious!" I say.

Katie hugs me again but mom and Shawn get up and hug me too.

We released from the hug and sat down and waited till the doctors said we could go in.

A doctor finally came out and said we could go in.

We all walked in to Alex's room. Alex was sitting up in his bed watching tv, he still had some machines hooked up to him.

I ran over to him and hugged him tight.

"Oh Alex I thought we lost you for good there" I say to him releasing from the hug.

"You can't get rid of me that easy." Alex says trying to lighten the mode and make us laugh, and it worked.

Sudden realization hit me. Alex has lung cancer and he might not know about it. I looked at Kat and she seemed like she knew what I was thinking about.

"Um Kat can I talk to you for a sec?" I ask.

We walk outside in the hallway.

"Kat are we going to tell him know or do you want to wait?" I ask her.

"It's your choice. I doubt his family is going to come back to visit him." Kat says.

She was right Alex's parents were never home they would go out to parties that their boss would throw and when they are how. They would ignore him.

"We should just tell him later. You know let him settle down" I say. Kat agrees with me.

We walk back into the room with smiles on our faces acting like nothing happened.

The doctors came in and said that he is free to go in 2 days. Before the Doctor could mention his cancer I pulled him out and told him not to tell him yet. He understood and walked away.

I walked back into the room. Mom and Shawn were leaning against the wall, Kat was sitting on one side of Alex. Alex was lying in the bed with some machines hooked up to him.

The walls were a depressing color, he had some cards from our dance class and Mr. Matthews class saying wake up and get better soon. He had some flowers and one ballon that's said get better.

I went and sat down on the other side of Alex. Everyone was watching the tv. It some soap opera show. I didn't pay attention to it I zoned out.

Mom and Shawn said that are hungry and so is Kat so they all went to the cafeteria downstairs.

"I saw everything that happened when I was in the coma and I also heard everything." Alex says making the silence go away.

"You heard me?"

"Yea. I love you to and I want to marry you and have kids one day too. I love you so fucking much Grace Browns." Alex says smiling.

He pulls me towards him and hugs me I hug him tightly. We stayed like for awhile. I was really tired since I couldn't get any sleep last night. I yawned but I tried to cover it up.

"Are you tired?" Alex ask.

Well I guess I didn't cover it up to good.

"Yea I didn't get any sleep last night."

He told to to sleep with him. (Not in that way get your mind out of the gutter) I put my legs on the bed and cuddled up with him. I put my head on his chest and heard his heart beating. It calmed down and made me forget my problems. Soon after I fell asleep.
