"aaaawww. Don't be that way i thought we we're friends." He smiled at me. I wasn't getting good vibes off this guy any more. I started slowly backing away. He noticed and shot out his hand grabbing my waist tightly. He stroked my cheek softly causing me to sharply jerk my head . Away.

looked into his hard blue eyes. His British accident flowing heavily over me. "your father misses you." He whispered in my ear. I tried pulling away from him but he didn't even budge. "Declan let me go!" I yelled finally feeling panic take over me. I pulled and pulled, finally he let me go making me fall falt on my butt. he let out a booming laugh. "if i were you i would lay low for a while. Your father put a hit out on you." He walked away with his hands shoved in his pockets and an evil chuckle ringing throughout the stadium. When he was gone i ran my ass home.

When i walked in I saw Tammy, the girl next door on the couch with Jaden in her lap soud asleep. I thanked her for watching him and gave her 40 bucks as she left. As she closed the door Jaden woke up. "hey, buddy how was your day?" I asked pulling him on my lap playing in his soft curly hair. "it was fun me and Tammy played hide-&-seek and we colored and then we played on your xbox." He smiled from ear to ear.

"wow that sounds fun how about some ice cream, huh?" I asked. "yaaaay!" He yelled running to put his shoes on.

We walked to smoothie king and I ordered a strawberry and banana smoothie while Jaden got a vanilla frozen yogurt. We got our frozen treat and slid into a booth.

"omg!!! Lux where have you been you had me worried sick about you." I looked up at Sophie. I could feel my cheek heat up a little. "sorry I've been a little busy." I said. She slid in next to Jaden. "ok, but who is this cutie pie?" She asked looking at Jaden. He smiled and put his head down continuing eating his yogurt. "This is Jaden" i said. "hi Jaden I'm Sophie." She said. Jaden smiled up at her and whispered a small "hello." We both laughed. "he's a little shy." I smiled.

Me and Sophie talked for a while and we joked around until she had to go. It was sunset so me and Jaden started waking home. "I'm going to enrolled you in school next week." I told him as we rounded the corner to our street. "cool!" He smiled.

I looked over my shoulder and saw a hooded figure speed walking towards us. I grabbed Jaden's hand and pulled him alone faster. "don't look back." I told him. He gripped my hand tighter. "I'm scared." He whimpered. "don't be everything is fine." I reassured him.

I looked over my shoulder again and saw three guys had joined in with the other. "hey, when i count to three we're going to run. Ok?" I told him. He looked at me with wide eyes. "Ok?" I looked and saw the guys we're really close now. "1....2....3!" We ran, but i could feel Jaden struggling to keep up so i swooped down and picked him up.

I saw the house at the end of the street. "lux why are they chasing us?" Jaden whispered. "i don't know baby." I said holding onto him tighter as i her the pounding of footsteps behind us. When i reached the house i ran to the porch and put Jaden down. I quickly took out my keys and tried to find the right one for the door. When i did my hands were uncontrollably shaking.

I quickly looked over and saw them a few feet from the steps. I shoved the key in and opened the door. I pushed Jaden in and locked the door. I slid down the door pulling Jaden with me as i herd them step onto the porch. I saw there shadows from the living room window looking in. I pointed to the closet under the stairs and whispered to Jaden to crawl to it.

When he was safely inside i followed. I locked the door from the inside and held my breath as i herd the front door creek open. Jaden clung to me like a second skin with silent tears falling from his eyes.

I herd as the steps neared the closet. Please god help us. I prayed in my head with my eye shut. The door knob shook violently. i hugged Jaden tight.and hoped for the best.
