You Forgot me

A night to remember

Finally I could take Jaden and Sasha home after all the paperwork was filled out.

"So what you guys think about some ice cream?" I smiled looking at both them from my review mirror in the car. "Yaaay! Ice cream!" Jaden screamed. But Sasha was starting at Jaden intensely. "Sasha, you okay?" I asked her. She looked up at me and smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine."

We pulled up to Dairy Queen and got out the car. the kids ordered what they wanted and I got a vanilla ice cream cone. We found a seat outside under an umbrella and sat down and enjoyed our frozen snacks.

Jaden had managed to spill some of his ice cream on himself. So I got up to get some napkins to clean him off. When I came back Sasha also had all of her ice cream on her face and shirt. "Well y'all some messy kids." I laughed. Sasha laughed too but Jaden looked at Sasha with narrowed eyes, but I didn't pay much attention to it.

After we finished our ice cream and cleaned up we got back into the car and headed home.

Jaden ran straight to his room and started jumping on his bed. While I showed Sasha to her room. "Wow lux this is perfect." Sasha smiled hugging my waist.

Later that night as me and the kids were playing Candy Land board games there was a knock on the door.

When I opened the door there was Cam. Looking drop dead stunning, in a black tux, red tie, and black and red Jordan's. And in his hands he held a pink box wrapped with a bow, and a bundle of yellow roses.

"Cam, what are you doing here?" I asked in shock.

I looked disgusting standing in front of him with my hair up in a messy bun, sweat pants, and an old ratty shirt.

Cam cleared his throat and smirked. "Well, I was wondering if you would be my date to night Ms. Valentine." He smiled.

My eye's opened wide and I nearly fell over. But I quickly composed myself. "S-sure." I croked out. Cam handed me the box and flowers. "Go put that on." He winked.

As I walked back into the house and saw Jaden and Sasha my excitement died down. "Cam I c-" "My mom is down stairs and is gonna babysit." Cam interrupted pushing me towards my room.

When I was in my room I untied the beautiful bow and opened the top to the pink Victoria's secret box. I gasped at the beautiful little red dress inside.

The dress stopped about min thigh and the back was lacy and see through, with a cute black bow on the lower back. And also inside the box was a pair of black red bottom heels.

I got dressed and did my makeup and tied my hair up in a tight neat pony tail with my bands out. And instead of putting on the heels I grabbed my matching Jordan's too.

As I stepped out the room Cam stood up and looked me up from head to toe. "Wow, you look-wow." He mutter. I put my head down, causing my bangs to fall in my face "thanks." I smiled.

"Well you crazy kids go have fun, I'll take care of these two." Ms. Jackson smiled pushing us out the door and closing it behind us.

Cam just laughed shaking his head and took my hand and led me down to his car.

We drove around for what felt like forever. until finally we pulled up to a beautiful hotel across town called 'The Tipton'.

We walked in and Cam led me to the restaurant portion of the hotel.

"Name?" the lady at the desk asked. "Jackson." Cam said. the lady looked threw a thick brown leather book for a moment before she closed it and said "Follow me."

We walked pass all the available tables straight to the back. The lady pushed open two French doors to a balcony.

It was gorgeous. the rails were wrapped by tiny lights, rose peddles showered the ground, a round table sat in the middle of the balcony, with a white cloth covering it with two candle sticks in the middle of the table.

Cam led me to a chair at the table and pulled it out for me, then pushed me in. After I was seated Cam took his seat. "Well look at you, being all gentlemen-like." I giggled. Cam smirked and brushed off imaginary dust off his shoulder. "Well you know how I do." He laughed.

We talked and laughed. And it was kinda like we were kids again, it was like we were best friends again.

Not long after a sheaf came out and place two silver plasters in front of us each with an lid covering our food. "Your food." the sheaf said revealing our dinner. When I saw what it was I couldn't help the laugh that came out.

There, on a silver plater was a Burger King kids bag. "Really cam?" I asked. "What? when we were kids you loved Burger king, and you always ordered the same thing." He said pulling out his food from the bag.

When I pulled out my food it was my favorite meal as an kid. A Whopper with extra ketchup, pickles, bacon, and no onions, with a side of fries, and a strawberry milkshake. And it even had toy inside.

"Wow, how'd you remember?" I laughed. "I never forgot." Cam said looking at me.

When we finished Cam stood up and took my hand, pulling me up to my feet. "Dance with me." He said wrapping my arms around his neck, and pulling me closer by my waist.

We slowly moved our body's to the sound of the smooth music that was playing from inside. I laid my head agents Cam's chest and listened to his heartbeat.

When the song ended We left the Hotel and headed back. "Tonight was perfect Cam, thanks." I said to Cam as we were turning into the parking lot of my apartment. But the whole parking Lot was filled with ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars.

When we got out I wondered what was going on. Then I saw Ms. Jackson in the back of an ambulance with an blanket around her shoulders while on a stretcher. "MS. JACKSON!" I yelled as I ran up to her. "Mom what happened, what's wrong?" Cam asked her.

Her eyes were puffy and red, she looked drained, and there was a slash mark across her cheek, and blood soaked her shirt.

"Where are the kids?" I asked her beginning to freak out. She looked up at me with wide eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I tried to stop her!" she cried out. But that was all she said before the medics strapped her in and took her off to the hospital.
