You Forgot me

Safe & Sound

I was in shock as flashing red, white, and blue lights flashed around me. And people rushed around, trying to see what's going on.

Suddenly Cam was in my face and shaking my shoulders, and slowly I came out of my state of shock and listened to what he was yelling.

"Lux! do you hear me?" He yelled. I blinked and nodded. "W-what's going on Cameron?" I asked looking around, and then I saw it, a small black bag zipped up, the kinda bag that holds bead body's.

Without saying a word Cam just pulled me to his chest and hugged me tight. "We have to go to the hospital." he said softly.

We Rushed to the hospital and found the room Cam's mom was in. When we walked in Ms. Jackson was hooked up to a beeping monitor and was staring wide-eyed up at the ceiling. "Mom?" Cam asked stepping up to the bed and taking her hand. Ms. Jackson shot her head in our direction and started to cry. "I'm so sorry drear, I had no Idea she was gonna hurt him." She cried.

My eyes watered and my heart rate sped up.

please god not again, I don't think I can take anymore.

"W-what h-happened?" I stuttered. Ms. Jackson cleared her throat and looked between me and Cam before she spoke. "Me and the kids were watching a movie, but then Jaden wanted to play a bord game. Sasha became up set and started yelling at Jaden, saying he was gonna ruin her chances." Ms. Jackson said. "Ruin her chances of what?" I asked. But Ms. Jackson just ignored me and continued on.

"Jaden started to yell at Sasha and said she wasn't right in the head, so Sasha pushed him down. I told Sasha that was enough and told her to go to her room. But-" Ms. Jackson let out sob. "But she ran to the kitchen and grabbed a knife and yelled that we both were gonna ruin everything, so she started to swipe at me with me knife. So I pulled Jaden behind me. But I tripped on the rug and as I fell she cut my face"

Ms. Jackson shook her head as if to shake the Sean from her head. "Then Sasha grabbed Jaden and she........ She stabbed him over and over." Ms. Jackson pulled Cam close and cried into his shirt.

I couldn't breath, tears were pouring from my eyes. The room started to spin and I became dizzy. The last thing I remembered was falling to the ground with a sharp pain in my head and feet running to me before I blacked out.

I woke up in an hospital bed with a horrible headache. "You okay?" someone asked me. I turned to see Cam. I clutched my head and sat up. I looked at Cam and saw he had puffy red eyes and tear stains on his cheek, and I remembered what Ms. Jackson had said.

But I didn't break down, no I'm tired of not having control over my emotions, tired of all the bullshit. I looked and Cam and said. "Take me to him."

Cam pulled me to my feet and we made our way through the hospital in silence, until we cam to the morgue. "You ready?" Cam said taking hold of my hand. Without looking at him I nodded my head. we pushed the doors open and I saw a medical examiner standing over Jaden's lifeless body.

"Hey, you can't be in here!" he warned. "it's okay, I'm his mother." I whispered as I walked up to the table Jaden lied on. He was gonna say something else but Cam pulled him to the side and talked in hush tones as I looked over my baby.

"Hey baby, I miss you, so much." I whispered in Jaden's ear. I stroked his hair softly and kissed his head. "Shhhh, baby sleep now." I cried as I looked at his pale face. Then I sang to him, so he wouldn't be scared.
