You Forgot me

Memories from the past

Cam

It was her, Lux. She's still here.

I ran down the stairs out the front door, and jumped into my car that was parked across the street . I didn't know where I was going, but I didn't care. I needed to go somewhere to clear my mind. I didn't know where I was until I saw a familiar playground come into view. This was the playground where Lux and I first met.

                    || FLASHBACK ||

My mommy took me to the park and I ran to the slide as soon as we arrived. When I came down to the bottom of the slide, I saw a girl push another girl down in the sandbox. The girl on the ground started to cry. "You can't play with boy toys, your a girl." The big meanie said. I ran over after she walked away with a group of other girls. I sat next to the girl in the sandbox, pulling her onto my arms to make her feel better. I held her till she stopped crying. When she was only sniffles I pulled away. "What's your name?" I asked as she wiped her nose with her sleeve. "Lux." She said shyly. I smiled. "Hey Lux, I'm Camron, but everyone calls me Cam."

She smiled. "Hi Cam." She greeted. "I like your truck, can I play?" I asked. She quickly nodded in agreement. We played trucks for a long time. "Hey, I like you. Your my best friend Now, Lulu." I said. "OK, but my name's lux."She said smiling." I know." I said as took her hand in mine.

I sat on the swing just thinking. How could I not recognize my own best friend, well my old best friend.

After thirty more minutes of feel like crap, I got back in my car and headed home. When I walked inside, I ignored my mom's questioning of where I've been and headed straight to my room. I didn't feel like taking a shower, so I striped down to my boxers and climbed into bed.

Lux

I woke up the next morning and did my morning routine. When I was done I headed out. My mom was gone, so I was guessing things were going back to normal, or at least I hoped so. I stopped to check the mail but it was all junk mail so I left it for my Mom to grab.

As I turned around I saw Cam coming out of his house. I didn't know what to do so I just stood there like an idiot, not moving. When he saw me he waved. It was then that I snapped out of it. I rolled my eyes in his direction, and made my way towards school. Two minutes later, a Jeep wrangler was drive next to me. I stopped walking to turn to the car. As the tinted window rolled down, revealing Cam.

"Need a ride?" He asked. "Nope." I said before continuing on my journey. But irritatedly, Cam followed. "Come on lux, please." He begged. I stopped walking agin and turned towards him. "Why?" I snapped, balling my hands into fists. Cam looked at me with pleading eyes. "Because Iwant to talk." He said looking deep in my eyes. "Talk? What could we possibly have to talk about?" I asked sarcastically. "Please, one ride that's all I'm asking." He pleaded.

Part of me want to show him my middle finger and keep it moving. But the eight-year old inside me, wanted to hear what he had to say. I stood there, looking at the guy I one trusted more than anyone in the word. I finally spoke. "One ride, and straight to school." I warned as I walked around the and got in.

Cam put the car in drive and pulled off. "So what's been up with cha?" He asked. "Since when you started talking all hood." I asked Rollin my eyes. "What can i say, Miami got in me a lil' bit." He chuckled. I just rolled my eyes and stared out the window, Until he passed the road to the school.

"Where are you going? You missed the turn." I snapped. "Chill ma, why you stressing?" He asked. "That's what I tend to do when being kidnapped." I snapped. Cam laughed as he kept his eyes on the road only glancing at me for a moment. "Lux, you're nearly 18. I didn't kidnap you, I abducted you." He said with a smirk. I angrily crossed my arms and sunk into the leather seats.
