You Forgot me

*Two months later*

It's been two months and everything has been great. Jaden was doing well in school, i had my grades up and my mom has been out more and more often.

Me cam haven't really talked in a while. We wave or nod at each other when we see one another but not really hanging.

"come on mommy!" Jaden yell tugging on my shirt sleeve. I grabbed my purse and my keys before following after Jaden. I started working at the cafe again after i finished school last week and finally had enough money saved to get my own place. I read in the new paper there was an apartment down town that was for rent. It had two bedroom two baths a full kitchen and huge master bedroom. So me and Jaden headed that way to check it out.

We looked around and within the first few minutes i was in love with this place. I paid the down payment and started moving the next day.

*Next Day*

I flopped down on my bed tried as hell from packing and unpacking all in one day. It took us a while but we finally finished. Jaden was in the living room watching cartoons so i took this time to take a shower.

When i got out i saw Jaden asleep on the sofa. I picked him up and put him in the bed. Then i laid down in bed. I was playing angry birds when i got a text from an unknown number. 'Nice place' it said. I was confused as to who this was but was to tired to care. So i went to bed.

I woke up to Jaden jumping up and down on my bed. "Baseball!! Baseball!!! Baseball!" He yelled. I laughed and pulled him down to me tickling him. He squirmed and wiggled under my fingers. "Mommy s-stop." He laughed. I stopped and pulled him close kissing his cheek.

Today Jaden had his sixth baseball practice and we started to get ready. He looked so cute in his green and white striped uniform that had a picture of a bull on it, its brought tears to my eyes.

Jaden was like my own child i would take a bullet for this kid and i loved him with all my heart. He gave me something i never knew i would have, A family.

I took his hand as we left the building and walked across town to the baseball field. As we neared the field someone bumped into my shoulder hard and never said sorry or turned around just kept walking. I brushed it off as someone just being rude.

"Hey couch Jason!" Jaden yelled running to his couch. I walked up to Jason after Jaden and smiled. Jason was 21 and really cute with tan skin spiked hair and stood at 6ft. He tried asking me out a few times but i always turned him down. "hey lux, we have a new assistant couch coming today." He informed me. I nodded and took a seat in the stands watching Jaden practice.

"Cam!!" Jaden yelled running to the corner of the field to meet cam. Cam was dressed in the team shirt and had a whistle around his neck, i guess he's the new assistant couch.

I walked over to meet them. "hey." I waved. "hey." He breathed out. He stared at me and it made me feel weird. I guess he noticed because he shook his head and led Jaden back toward the other kids.

When Jaden was done i walked down to meet him. He was talking to cam who was giving him pointers on how to hold his bat next time. When they saw me they walked over to me. "hey lux jaden's doing really well." Cam said rifling his hair. Jaden smiled up at cam and pushed his hand away. "yeah, all he do is talk baseball." I smiled at Jaden. "well come on Jaden we got to go." I said holding my hand out for Jaden to take. He ran to cam who crouched down and hugged his neck whispering something in his ear.

Then he took my hand. It was noon and we started off toward home. But the way we came was blocked off because of road work. So we took the long way thru the bad part of town. We cam to a hallway we needed to get thru but thugs were blocking the way and i didn't like the way they were eyeing me and i know they would start trouble if we walked by. "come on." I said pulling Jaden around the building.

We were at the back door when i herd loud gun shots ring from inside then fast heavy footsteps running towards the door then more shots. I pulled Jaden to the side of the door next to a trashcan but we were still in the open. The door bursts open and a guy comes out and is shooting,at someone inside.

But as his back is turned a car rides by and a guy in the backseat leans out the window and fire a round of shots, hitting the guy multiple times. Then the car speeds off. "you okay?" I ask Jaden. I look at him and his mouth is parted and is eyes are staring ahead. Then i see it. The blood leaking from the single small round wound at the left side of his chest. "No. No. No. Nooooo. Jaden look at me. Jaden baby look at me!" I said with my arm around him grabbing his chin trying to get his eyes to focus on me. "no. No.whispered while rocking jaden's body back and forth sobbing into his hair.
