Genisis laughed at Sitra as they hopped out their cars in front of her new home. Sitra's realtor didn't do this place justice with her pictures. Sure it was in need of a little work. But Genisis loved older houses. She looked to Taylar and Baby as they both whined at the sun suddenly in their faces. Sitra took them both into the house as Genisis grabbed a bag.
"Can I help you with that?" a deep male voice called out to her.
Genisis turned to see the most gorgeous man she'd ever seen in her life. He was shirtless in a pair of sweatpants. Sweat glistened on his ripped body. She glanced at his groin and sure enough the infamous sweat pants print was there. He cleared his throat, drawing her attention back up to his piercing greenish colored eyes.
Sitra walked out the house as she said, "Girl hurry-"
Sitra's words were cut short when she saw the piece of fine in front of Genisis. She smiled as she walked over.
"I was just wondering if I could help." the sweaty, muscular man explained.
"Why?" Genisis demanded.
Sitra looked at Genisis like she'd lost her mind. But the man chuckled slightly. It was the sexiest thing either of the women had heard. He took the bag from Genisis as he stared into her deep brown eyes as he said, "It's a southern thing. We don't like to see the women doing such tasks on their own. That's if they allow us to help."
Genisis mentally kicked herself for thinking he was trying to come on to her. I mean really. As big as I am? And look at him! Nah. Gen just be thankful for the help so your fat ass don't have to sweat.
"Just place them in the living room. I'll get us some cool water." Sitra called over her shoulder, adding an extra sway in her hips.
Genisis nodded, agreeing with Sitra's remarks. The man nodded and followed them toward the house as he said, "I'm Brian by the way. Brian Daughtry."
Sitra nodded and said, "I'm Sitra Miles and this is Genisis Mitchell."
Brian smiled as he watched them both walk up the creeky stairs. He'd have to fix that. He watched as Genisis lightly touched a rose bush next to the porch before walking inside. She seemed almost shy. Or maybe taken aback. He didn't know. But she was so beautiful. Calm down Skippy. No way would she be interested. Bet she doesn't even do the whole interracial thing.
Sitra busied herself with finding Genisis glasses as she spoke to her friend, "Did you have to go full on rude? I mean Gen every man is not out to get you. He was just being nice. And hey if he's willing to help unpack don't run him off. Look at this place. You could probably use his help fixing it up. I mean what's so wrong with a friendly neighbor?"
Genisis rolled her eyes and they settled on the window a moment as she saw Brian bending over to pick up another box. He looked so scrumptious. She could just eat him. She lost sight of him and turned to see Sitra eyeing her.
Genisis rolled her eyes and said, "Have you forgotten what happened with the last white man I was friendly with? He got me knocked up, in love and ready to be bride without even bothering to mention 'hey I have a FIANCÉ at home'. No thanks Sitty. I don't need any friends. You be his friend."
