Genisis smiled as she watched Taylar brushing Whippet as he chewed on a carrot. She looked over to Genisis and smiled. Rose walked out of the main house and headed their way with Genisis's cellphone. Genisis immediately got excited. She snatched the phone when Rose reached her.

"Baby?" she called into the phone.

"Your one and only," Brian answered. "How are you and my little ones?"

She looked down at her belly and then to Taylar before replying, "They're doing great. And I'm missing my fiancé. When are you coming home. It's been like a year."

Brian laughed at her exaggeration.

"It's only been two months, Crybaby," he laughed. "And I talk to you every week. Every time you ask me when I'm coming home. And I tell you soon. I'm coming back to you, Genisis. Just bare with me."

She sat on a log bench as Taylar rode off with Whippet. Rose walked back out the house with a bowl of fruit and a bottle of water. Brian had made her promise to look after Genisis. Which was easy because Genisis didn't let her do much.

"Here comes your sister with more fruit," Genisis joked. "I gotta teach the girl to properly fry some chicken. You'd think a southern girl would know how."

Brian laughed. His sister was no Martha Stuart.

"She's never been a great cook," he stated. "Teach her what you want. Just don't burn the house down. Have you been sleeping well without me?"

Genisis rubbed over her belly as she said, "Yeah. I spend most nights up here on the ranch. Your room smells like you. Oh. I'm gone have to buy you more tank tops. I might've stretched a few. You know. In the belly area."

"That's fine," he confirmed. "As long as you resting and taking care of my little man."

"Lady," Genisis corrected. "It's gone be a girl."

Brian chuckled and replied, "Well we'll have to wait to prove you wrong since you don't wanna know what it is without me. But I know its a boy. Merlin told me."

"The wizard?" she asked in shock and confusion.

He burst out laughing at her surprise. To his joy she laughed as well. He looked at the opal ring in the leather box sitting in front of him. She loved opal stones & it was gorgeous like her.

"I have something for you when I get back," he informed her. "Can you hold out till then?"

"Of course Baby. I'd wait forever for you." she said softly.

He smiled and he heard his name called. He closed the ring box and stuffed it in his pocket as he said into the phone, "I gotta go Love. I'll call you soon. Tell my son to wait for me. Kiss Taylar for me."

She smiled as she said, "I'll pass the message along to your daughter growing inside. And your one already here."

He smiled and said, "I love you, Baby."

"I love you too, Husband-to-be." she replied.

He hung up and she looked to the field where Taylar rode Whippet around barrels. She touched her stomach as her baby kicked and punched.

"Calm down little boy," she said to her belly. "Daddy says he loves you and wait for him."

The kicks continued and she looked up to see Taylar resting her head on Whippet's mane. She sat up and stared out over the fields. She had become quite the little cowgirl. If she wasn't at school or doing homework she was with Whippet and sometimes Baby out in the fields. Her piglet was growing well and so was her new rabbit, Floppsy. Taylar had gone from a prissy city girl to a full on country cowgirl.

"Gen!" a female voice called.

Genisis turned and Sitra was headed her way. Her face fell as she realized Roman was coming behind her. They reached her and Roman was visibly livid as he looked at her belly. She rubbed her belly and pulled her shirt down before standing.

"What is he doing here?" Genisis demanded.

"He wants to talk," Sitra explained. "Just hear him out. He says he's so sorry for hurting you and he just wants a chance to make things right."

Genisis looked at her like she had lost her damn mind.

"Come on Gen," she said in an annoyed tone. "Don't look at me like that. I wanted you to hook up with Brian. Have some fun. But you can't seriously carry on a full blown relationship with him. Do you honestly think it'll last when you're in your thirties while he's still in his twenties?"

Genisis was getting angrier by the second. She thought about her lost baby and breathed to calm her nerves before she said, "Go away. To answer your questions, yes I think this will last. Brian loves me. He's in love with me. We're engaged to be married. We're having a baby. He treats me amazing. He treats Taylar amazing. Sitty, you know this. You've seen how he treats me. Why wait until he's gone? What Roman? Were you afraid he'd kick your ass again?!"

Roman just stood quietly. Sitra looked at him like say something. He stepped forward and tried to kiss her. She pushed him away and punched him. In the mouth. He spit out blood and looked at her.

"Genisis, this kid cannot truly love you," he said matter-of-factly. "You're going to regret this day when he breaks your heart and leaves you high and dry."

"Leave my mommy alone." Taylar called to them both.

They turned to see Taylar walking up with Whippet on her heels. She took Genisis by the hand and said, "Come on Mommy."

Genisis followed her up to the house as she handed off Whippet to a passing ranch worker.

"Genisis!" Sitra called.

Sitra looked to Roman then back at her best friend. What the hell did she just do?

Genisis continued into the house with Taylar and into the living room. Taylar took off her boots and went to grab their house shoes. She returned to see her mother with tears on her face. She walked over and climbed up next to her.

"It's okay Mommy," Taylar soothed. "Daddy will be back soon. He love us."

Genisis smiled slightly. Since when did Taylar call Brian 'Daddy'? Then she remembered the night Taylar had a nightmare. She was hollering 'Daddy' and Brian went to her rescue. She kissed her curly head and turned to look out the window over the fields.

She smiled as she said, "I'm fine, Pooh. I know Daddy will be back soon. Just wish he'd hurry."
