Brian sat at Genisis's bedside holding Riley. Taylar sat playing a game on his phone as Rose combed Genisis's hair. Here it was three months later and Genisis still hadn't awakened. Rose could tell this was taking a toll on her brother. But she didn't know how to help. Doctors didn't know what was wrong with Genisis. Her wound had healed. Her vitals are fine. She just wasn't waking up. Rose was beginning to lose hope.

"I'm done Brother," Rose called to him. "I'll take Taylar home. Call me if you need me to come get you and Lexi. "

Brian didn't respond. He rarely talked to anyone. Besides an unconscious Genisis, Riley and Taylar. Taylar walked over and hugged him. He kissed her cheek.

"See you later, Daddy." she chimed.

"See you later, Pooh." he replied.

They walked out shutting the door and he placed Riley in her car seat. He took Genisis hand in his and smiled slightly.

He looked to her face as he said, "You know Lexi said Da-Da today. Isn't that great? I didn't say my first word until I was almost six months. But look at our baby. A whole month ahead of me."

He kissed her hand as tears filled his eyes.

He continued, "I have to admit something to you Gen. I slept with someone. This girl name Lisa. I think. I was out drinking - and I'm not blaming being drink - I was just at the bar when she started coming onto me. She'd heard about what happened and came on to me. I was so depressed that night and I knew I could get momentary relief. So I used her. We had sex and I got up and left."

He looked to Riley who seemed to be listening as well and his guilt increased tenfold. He looked up at Genisis.

He stroked her cheek and said, "It meant nothing to me, Baby. I swear it didn't. I haven't spoken to her sense. But she keeps harassing me when I go into town to get supplies for the ranch. Genisis, I'm so sorry. I swear I am. If you can hear me, I need you to know that. Oh and I did use a condom. And I flushed it. No outside babies for you to have to deal with."

He bit his knuckle lightly before continuing his one sided conversation, "I'm looking for who did this to you. I know it was Roman without a doubt. But I can't find the bastard. He's disappeared. I have private investigators looking for him. But he must be living in a cave because so far we got nothing. But when I find him, trust me, I'll kill him. And I'll make sure he doesn't even get the honor of a funeral."

Riley began to whine and the machines connected to Genisis all began to go off. Doctors and nurses rushed in, pushing Brian out. He sat with his back against the wall and called Rose.

Meanwhile, Rose sat in her bedroom laughing with a man. He kissed on her neck and she moaned his name.

"Oh Roman." she sang.

He turned her to face him and kissed her little lips. She smiled as he pulled away.

"So he still has no clue?" he asked.

She smirked and replied, "My brother is so busy being a watch dog he has no time to consider me. I still don't get how you didn't kill her. I mean honestly Baby. Did you spare her on purpose? Does that mud monkey actually mean something to you?"

Roman could feel his anger rising at her disrespect of Genisis. But he suppressed his anger and said, "No, I don't care about her. I do however care about Taylar. She's half white you know?"

He didn't think that was true. But Taylar's skin and hair could pass for biracial. Maybe.

"That poor child," Rose said. "Having to be influenced by those monkeys. I can get my brother to leave the hospital for a night and you can sneak in and finish what you started."

Roman nodded. What he really wanted to do was get Genisis to wake up and see that it was him by her side and not her precious Brian. Rose kissed his lips and straddled his lap. She had to be the most racist person he'd ever met. He hadn't met many. It made him sick just kissing her. But she was afraid of Brian and she held her tongue around him. He was thankful because it meant Genisis was never subjected to the hurtful things she said.

"Oh my phone!" she exclaimed.

He snapped out of his thoughts as she answered Brian's call. As he spoke her face grew angrier. But she kept her voice light and said, "Oh! She's awake? Is she okay? Does she need anything? Is anything wrong with her?"

More silence. He wished she'd turn her phone up a little. From the very little he could hear it sounded like Brian was crying. Rose looked to him as she sais, "Amnesia?! Oh Brian I'm so sorry. Does she remember anything? How bad is it?"

More silence.

Her face spread in shock as she exclaimed, "She asked where's Roman and their baby?! Oh my goodness. Brian do you need me?!"

She nodded and put the phone down. Brian must've hung up. Roman hopped out of bed and headed for the window. He looked to Rose and laughed as he spoke, "Your services are no longer necessary. Racist bitch."

He climbed out her window and snuck off the ranch to his awaiting car in the woods. He floored it to the hospital and lied to the check in counter about his relation to Genisis. He made his way to her room and froze when he saw her holding Brian's hand. What the fuck was she doing?

"Roman?" she called to him.

Brian's head snapped up and he prepared to kill Roman with his bare hands. But Genisis words knocked the feeling out of his legs.

"Roman, Baby, come here!" she called.
