Luke's POV

"Sophie, it's time to get up," I said, waking her gently. "I think Michael is making pancakes if you're up to it."

She turned over and pulled away, wearily rubbing her eyes.

"Ooh, sounds good," she said. "Pancakes are- were my all time favourite but I can't.. Sorry."

"It's okay, as we said, baby steps.. Yeah?" I reminded her.

"Yeah."

By this point I was pulling on a Green Day shirt but I looked back at Sophie who was still in bed.

"Come on, we have to get up now or they'll only come and annoy us," I said, choking back a giggle.

I held out my hand for her to get up which she took but when she stood up, instantly she fell back down.

"Baby, what's wrong? Are you okay?" I cried.
"Yeah, I guess I just stood up a little too quickly. I'm fine." She said as she stood up and walked to the bathroom.
"When was the last time you ate?" I asked.
"Erm.. A week ago."
"You don't have to if you don't feel comfortable but can you step on the scale, please?" It had to be worth a try, right?
"Sure.."

She pulled out the scales from under the sink and lay them across the tiled floor. Steadying herself, she stood up and stepped on them. After a few seconds, her weight appeared on the tiny screen..

70 pounds..

I looked back at Sophie who was trying to hold back a smile.
"Sophie, you're 16 and you are 70 pounds. That is incredibly underweight, you need to see a doctor.

"Luke, I'm fine." She said as she put the scales back and went towards her bedroom door.
"Sophie, please.. For me?"
"Luke, I'm- "
"Sophie!" I shouted as she fell to the floor. I shook her and she wouldn't wake up.. I kept shaking her whilst calling for Ashton but she wasn't waking up...
