Fly Away

I want a little bit of California,
With a little bit of London sky,
I wanna take my heart to the end of the world and fly away tonight.
I want a little bit of open ocean,
With a New York state of mind,
I wanna take my heart to the end of the world,
And fly away, fly away tonight.

Fly Away ~ 5 Seconds of Summer

*Luke's POV*

"Hey, sleepy. Happy birthday." I heard a voice say quietly from behind me. I rolled over in my bed and saw Sophie. She was sat up straight, I wonder now long for. Her eyes looked so tired and empty.

"Thanks. How are you feeling? " I asked, remembering last nights events. We need to talk to Calum later about it like I promised.

"I'm fine." She muttered. Lazily, she got out of bed and followed me into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.

I had just brushed my teeth when I felt something across my back. It was Sophie. I'm not denying that it felt amazing but I was so confused. I mean, I love this girl but did she love me?

Suddenly, she playfully pushed me against the door and leaned her forehead on mine. I became aware of the fact that I was only wearing sweatpants and that my scars would be on show. I had a past with harming myself a few years ago. Eventually, the hate got too much and I cut too deep, therefore leaving a huge white scar across my abdomen. I've been clean for 3 years.

I leaned in closer, brushing my lips gently on hers as I heard footsteps nearing the door. I pushed that thought to the back of my mind and leaned in, gently kissing her and she kissed back. Our lips moving in sync with each other.

I lifted her up, holding her waist as she wrapped her legs around me, still not breaking this passionate kiss. I put her down on the little ledge by the sink, making sure she didn't fall sideways and fall into the sink.

The footsteps had disappeared, they must have been a figment of my imagination.

I moved slowly down her soft, tanned neck and left a trail of kisses. She rolled her head back, letting small gasps escape her mouth. I liked the sounds she made, they reminded me just how small and innocent she really was.

I pulled away when I heard a knock on the bathroom door, making Sophie whine a little bit. I turned around to see Ashton with a shocked yet happy look on his face.

Sophie's face flushed red with embarrassment as she played with her hands. I rushed around trying to find the closest shirt to me, a purple shirt. It must've been Ash's.

"So, do you guys have anything to tell me?" Ashton giggled. His giggle was always cute.

I looked over at Sophie, looking at her as if to say 'Should we tell your dad that I'm dating his daughter?' I received a frantic 'no'. Tears threatening to spill over her tired eyes.

"It's okay, baby, don't worry." I whispered, pulling the smaller girl into a tight hug. I turned back to look at Ashton but he simply winked at me and left, claiming he had to make a phonecall.

Why did he wink at me?

*Sophie's POV*

That kiss was amazing but Ashton appearing made me feel all, I don't know, self conscious and embarrassed. I mean, wouldn't you be embarrassed if you walked in on your daughter and your best friend making out?

Something that happened before Ash left had me questioning everything. Ashton winked at Luke. Yeah, they've known each other longer that they even knew about me and I don't know what happened before I came along but I intend to find out.

Shortly after Ashton left, Luke changed his shirt for a black Green Day shirt. I couldn't help but look at his tanned torso. He was perfect, how could he ever like someone like me.

I noticed, however, a small white scar across his stomach.

What was it from?

"We should go downstairs. We still have to tell Ashton about what happened last night." He said, walking out of the door.

"Sure."

Luke went on ahead, leaving me alone to get dressed and make myself look presentable. I'd fallen asleep in a loose grey T-shirt and black sweatpants so I changed my T-shirt for one of Luke's band hoodies and went downstairs.

As I had expected, the boys were sat around the table in a serious looking conversation. It stopped when they saw me coming down the stairs.

"Come here, we need to talk." Ash said, holding his arm out for Sophie.

"I assume Luke already told you?" I asked, stealing a quick glance at the blonde who was pulling his hands through his messy quiff. Michael and Calum were just sat there, one either side of Luke and Ash.

"He did, but why haven't you been eating?" He asked me trying to be sympathetic.

"I can't. I doubt any of you have ever had an eating disorder, you just don't understand." I cried, running off back to my room. I heard footsteps following me but I couldn't care less at this point. I just wanted to make it to the top of the stairs without passing out.

I reached my door after what felt like forever and turned around to see who it was behind me. It was Calum, looking incredibly upset. He was crying, I'd never seen him crying before.

"Hey, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" I soothed but he started sobbing uncontrollably.

I lead him into my room and he took a seat on my bed. I shortly followed after locking the door; Michael has a habit of walkimg in at the most inappropriate times.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He nodded his head in a reply.

"So, what's happened?"

"I-I was a-anorexic t-too." He said, barely audible.

Did I hear just great him right? Is my mind playing tricks on me?
