King For A Day

Imagine living like a king someday
A single night without a ghost in the walls
And if the bass shakes the earth underground
We'll start a new revolution now
(Now! Alright here we go)

Hail Mary, forgive me
Blood for blood, hearts beating
Come at me, now this is war!

Fuck with this new beat.

Oh!

Luke's POV

I woke up to bright lights and  beeping monitors. It smelt of hand sanitizer, I hated that smell.

I looked around and nobody was there..

Wow, I thought, Thanks guys.

Next to my bed on the table was a note and a packet of gummy bears, my favourite. The note read: Everybody was here. When you wake up, if we're not with you, we'll be in the waiting room. Press the button which says call next to your head and then a nurse will tell us that you're awake. Hope you feel better, you scared me.

So I did what Ash told me to. Almost instantly a doctor came in followed by Ash and Sophie.

They immediately came up and hugged me. Ash gave me a quick shoulder rub but Sophie gave me a hug, tears and makeup down her face.

"Ah, Mr. Hemmings. You've been out for quite some time. Now, is there anyone else you would like here before I go through what happened?" Dr. Gaskarth asked.

I nodded. "Y-yeah, C-calum a-and Michael."

"Okay, I'll go and fetch them." He said before walking out of the room. Ashton went out too to get a cup of water, leaving me and Sophie alone.

I motioned for her to come and lie next to me. She wiped away the tears on her long sleeve and cuddles up to my chest.

The doctor soon arrives with a sad Calum and a tired looking Michael before I had a chance to talk to Sophie.

"Now, Luke, you passed out because of a panic attack, correct?" I simply nodded, trying not to disturb the emotional Sophie that lay beside me.

"Have you had many of these panic attacks before of this current intensity?" I shook my head, scared. I felt Sophie move so that she was sat up but intertwining her fingers with mine. I glanced over at Ashton, his lips pointed down in a frown as he noticed.

"I'm going to diagnose you with panic disorder. Here are a few leaflets about how to manage your anxiety. You just have to get someone to sign this and you can be discharged. Goodbye, Mr. Hemmings." He finished before leaving the room for a final time.

"Are you okay?" I asked Sophie.

"I'm not fine, but you're the one who needs to be cared for. Not me." She whispered, taking her hand from mine and leaving the room. Ashton followed her to sign the discharge papers and Calum followed, leaving me with Michael.

"Hey, buddy. You had me worried for a minute there." He let out a small giggle, his attempt at lightening the mood.

"I'm fine. I could use a hand getting up, though?" I honestly felt like I couldn't move.

"Sure, here." He held out his hand for me and I took it. My chest hurt like hell but I had to carry on. I put my few things that the others had brought for me into the nearest bag I saw and left the room after Michael.

Gosh, I was so glad to be getting out of that place. I always had a strong dislike to hospitals.
