Crashing, hit a wall
Right now I need a miracle
Hurry up now, I need a miracle
Stranded, reaching out I call your name but you're not around

Don't Let Me Down ~ The Chainsmokers ft Daya

Sophie's POV

Today is my regular check up at the doctors and Calum is going with me. He arranged his appointment for after mine so that we could go together. He's so sweet when it comes to things like this.

"C-calum. Are y-you ready t-to go?" I asked, hesitantly.
"Yeah, just give me a few minutes!" He called back. I quickly ran to the bathroom and found my secret stash of water bottles. I had seen on TV that this helps you gain a few pounds until you go to the toilet so that's what I did. I drank 4 bottles and hopefully it would make me my target weight.

"Sophie! Where are you? We're going to be late!" Calum called around the house. He came closer to the bathroom and rattled the handle. "Sophie, what are you doing!? Hurry up!" He shouts.
"Calm down, I- uh- I'm just fixing my mascara. I'll be right out!" I called back. I quickly threw the empty bottles into the trash can and made my way out to the car where Calum was surprising waiting patiently.

"Are you alright?" He asked once we were at the hospital. We hadn't spoken in the car ride here so I was a bit shocked at his words.
"I'm fine." The lies keep on pouring out of my mouth today.
"Sophie Irwin?" The doctor said.
I awkwardly raised my hand and made my way to the door. I looked back at Calum and asked, "Can he come in with me, please?" The doctor looked hesitant but then agreed, seeing the distressed state I was in.

"So, Sophie, it says here that you're anorexic. Is that correct?" Dr. Fields asked. I nodded, looking across at Calum who was about to cry. I reached across and gave his hand a sympathetic squeeze. He returned it, intertwining our fingers together.
"And you passed out two weeks ago from lack of food?" I nodded. "It says here that your target weight is 100lbs. Could you step over to the scale, please? Remove your hoodie and your shoes, please." She said before walking over to the scale.

100lbs. That cant be right, please tell me its a mistake. There is no chance I'm going to get that fat. I thought to myself.

I went over to the scale and stepped on. I closed my eyes, not wanting to see the horrid number.

"90 pounds." Dr. Fields read. "Sophie, that is still dangerously underweight."
"Oh.." Is all I could say.
"Are you okay?" Calum whispered. I nodded.
"I'm sorry to have to say this but I must refer you to counselling. The sessions will be for 30 minutes on a Monday, Thursday and Sunday." The doctor stated before getting up and walking out of the room.
"I'm sorry I'm not perfect for you." I said to Calum before walking out and back to the car.

That's where I waited, alone with my thoughts, while Calum had his appointment. I decided not to tell Ashton about this, after all, he is keeping something from me, therefore, I will keep this from him...
