The pain had finally caught up with me, deflecting the adrline. I layed back on the worn unused matress rubbing my throbbing head. I layed there for a few seconds longer saoking up the feeling of long missed quite peace. . . but it never came. The quite space which i used to enjoy now seemed like a forgotten idea once cherished, but now a longer passed thought. The silence screamed with everything, as if mouths filled up the space instead of air and shouted everything that was running around in my head. What if guards come right know and take me to do more testing? I couldnt. I wouldn't have any fight in me to exhausted. I guess i would have to hold off on my plan to be a distraction. Maybe i could just hide in the enclave? Ya. . eat bugs found in the tunnle. No. Maybe they wont even come at all. What if they do? I lifted my head up and brought my elbows under me sitting up. I looked around for my bag, now feeling open and unprotected. Its not here, the bags gone. Its not here, i must of dropped it.
"Drag!" i hissed. I moved my legs off the worn pushing my self off i stepped forward and pause. Looking down i saw my left boot was missing. Great. . . I'll probably have to look for that also. I made my way towards the slightly opened door, keeping most of my weight on my right leg. A small tingle of pain would shoot up everytime i stepped onto my left. Out into the empty white bunk hall way, i read the numbers on the wall beside the door, 7429. I had never been this low into the white bunk, i must of blacked out when Travis helped drag me here. Turning away from the on going hallway, that turned probably into a another hall of rooms. I limped my way towards the elevator behind me. I reached into my back pocket for my card but found it empty.
"Drag!" i cursed again remembering i placed the card in my bag after using it to get into the elevator before. Maybe i could find a silver door somehere, that could lead me to the main stair case? Turning away from the elevator i limped back into the unused room, grabbing the licked clean tray. I left the room prepared to face the unknow and use the tray as a possible weapon.
"Tip?" freezing. I looked over my shoulder to see the owner of the voice. Bruce stood in the opened frame of the silver elevator, his gaze locked with mine. I turned away from the few white steps leading up into the next hall to face him. I gripped the tray as the nights before conversation forced into self past the slight throb in my head.
". . . i thought i made my warnings clear?"
"Im impressed you remember that, considering you were heavily intoxicated" he called from the end of the hall. A shadow of light glaring down on his watchful features. I felt my empty fist curl up, then felt stupid that his words could rise emotions so easily then the threatening blows of Sophias clawed hands.
"Oh ya? I remember cleary how i nearly knocked you on your back side! You know with me being so heavily intoxicated and all?" i shot back. Ours gazes locked again his eyes narrowed for a moment then regained there natural shape.
"Go ahead and scream, there is no one even on these levels" he sneered anger crackling in his voice. Some leader, can't even keep his emotions in check. Ha!
"I dont want to waste any more breath on a snitch like you!, go crawl back to mommy-Jane" I shot back. I turned my back to him, but never let my guard down. I moved trying to mask my limp, to hide my disability if he was going to attack.
"Wait Tip!. . . im sorry" he called his voice steadly rising. I froze when i heard his light footsteps and the elevator doors slide close with a, bling.
"I did know what they were going to do to you, im sorry i didnt tell you. I knew you would freak out and then you would only make it worse on your self. . . i was trying to protect you" he called his voice then loworing as his steps came closer and closer.
