"Your charts read your temputre, and vitals are fine. I have no idea why your stumic was upset, but your hydration levels are a little low, deary" the short plump elderly women cooed looking over the beeping machines beside me.
"I think we'll just keep you here for a few hours to make sure your not infected with anything okay deary?" she cooed turning to me smiling. The fowl bitter oder of her breath smacking my nose and filling the small platic room.
"Okay."
"There is a bucket here besides the bed if you think you'll puke again, I'll send for your breakfeast in a few hours and here are some clouthes" she said handing me a folded square then turned and left thru the plastic flap. Her wide shape blurred then smeared into the rest of the blurred unclear images. Drake, drake, drake, have to find drake. Slidding off the small lowered cot, i pulled off my shirt from the night before, vomit on the bottom helm. Carefully i disgarded the shirt into the bucket, and slipped on the new shirt given. I had to roll up the white sleaves a few times as they hung past my finger tips. Need to find drake. Those words played a endless chant in my head, new found hope flooded my limbs. Pulling my my bag from the cot i inched towards the curtin. Taking a deep breath of tainted air i pushed thru the curtain of unclear plastic. A shiver passed over my covered flesh as the same plastic greeted me from all angles it was like the enclave, just cleaner and brighter, and maybe even less rats.
This enclave had adults walking around in white coats like Dr. Green and blue uniforms like that plump ladie. They seemed to ignore or disregard me as they sped past even the black suited guards following them. I needed to move i had been standing in the same place was the past three minutes watching. No, i needed to be finding. Taking another deep breath i walked in the direction of what the rout pf coming here was from the elevator doors. I needed to get some kind of footing here before i start aimlessly searching. Everything was bright white and blinding, chemical smells tickled and burned my nose with every breath. Every blink I took the white lights seemed to grow brighter, the beeping of machines all chanted in unions.
"Tip!" a hushed whisper pulled me from my annotation of the infarmiry. Turning towards the voice my hand gripped the bag strap. I turned to see a tall pale being stalk there way towards me from the other end of the plastic lane. As the pale being marched forward i saw the shaved gleaming head of Maggie, a deep scowl on her pale white features.
"Maggie?" i breathed, releasing a breath i didnt now i was holding until she was infront of me. Why was she here? Could word of me throwing up already spread thru out the compound? I quickly glanced over the tall girl, her skinny legs covered in black pants, worn at the knees to look almost grey. Her thin torso, hidden by a white T-shirt and a pink jacket with dull orange and green creatures speckled across the fabric. It was suprising that even in bright colors, the girl still could stare right thru you, as if her adilty to scare and intimidate knew no bonds. From my analysing she didnt look injuried, or sick which only lead the knoghts in my chest to tightened even more.
"Shut up." she hissed into my ear. I felt her thin hand rap around my forearm pulling me with her as she marched on. She tore thru a plastic curtain and pulled me in with her, the curtain falling back into place behind us.
". . . wh-what are you doing here?" i asked. I shook my head mentally wipping away the chanting and foggy vows clouding my brain. Drag, i needed to be more alart. Maggie wipped around facing me after checking to make sure the plastic was closed even if it only barley muffled noise.
"I came to see if you were alright" she stated strangly calm but a sneer lingered in her voice.
". . .i-im fine" I answered slowly.
