Where am I?

I scan my surroundings and there's nothing but darkness with only a small speck of light that's shining on a tiny portion of the ground.

I feel a throbbing pain between my legs and groan. My breasts are aching and swollen full of milk and the thought that follows terrifies me.

My babies. Alec.

I begin to moan in sorrow thinking of them possibly alone and in need of my milk and I'm stuck and I can't move.

"Valentina, are you awake?" It's Dr. Wicks I soon realize and I sigh with relief.

"Dr. Wicks where are we? Where is Alec? Where is my son and daughter?"

"I don't know, Valentina. When I woke up, I was here. I'm sure Alec is going to come and find us okay? Lets just see why we're here in the first place."

I don't answer her after that, instead I lie back down on the slick metal floor and soon doze back to sleep. It's the only thing that was distracting me from the yearning my wolf felt to be near the babies. The pull to them is so strong but my body is weak and I didn't have it in me to get up without the fear of alerting the people who captured Dr. Wicks and I in the first place. Essentially, I'm stuck in a place I don't want to be and there's nothing I can do about it except wait for someone to come find us.

"Wake your prissy ass up!" A raggedy voice shouted and it woke me up with a start. I soon realized that I was still in my gown and the knot that Alec tied was loosening around my neck. The man who shouted grabs my arm and pulls me out off whatever I was in. The sunlight outside clouds my vision at first and slowly I adjust to the changes. I squint my eyes until my eyes are fully adjusted. We're in the middle of nowhere, we parked at a remote highway where forests engulfed the rest of the scenery and I can only see an arc of the bright Sun.

I look at the vehicle Dr. Wicks and I were inside. A van. Alec's father's van that I saw driving out to town once when I had just found out I was pregnant. Their Bayard Family Brand was imprinted onto the side of the van door and the trunk window. Either Alec's father's employee went rogue and took me, or he intentionally took me away from my pups so he can raise them into ruthless monsters like he almost did to Alec and Apollo. I believe the latter choice is the most valid point.

One of the men pull Dr. Wicks out and as soon as she regains her composure, they lead us into the forest until we get to a log cabin where a river flowed right behind it. I can tell the home is old; the wood is rotting, and vines are twisting and turning their way in and out of the wood on the sides of the house as well as the roof. They lead us into the cabin and one of them step up onto the unstable porch and pull out a single key from their combat jacket.

Unfortunately for them, the key was jammed and out of impatience, the man slammed the door open. As the door opens, dust splashes into our faces and settles into the air dispersing into tinier and tinier groups until each speck is alone. The interior is bare except for a gas stove, a kitchen, a bathroom, and another room at the far right which I will safely assume is a bedroom.

The men drop their bags and the ones who are holding Dr. Wicks and I lead us into the room at the far right which is a bedroom. He then hands me a pile of clothes and takes his leave. Once he closes the door and I hear the click, I rush to the windows to see if there is a way out.
