I can't believe that inside of me my babies are there, growing and alive. I knew mothers who came to me were so happy and something about them gave me a piece of their happiness, and I have that for myself now. A warm knot in my stomach stays and I take a deep breath.
"Hello." Apollo's voice purrs from the door, the sound of his footsteps stop at my bed and I turn my head. I was angry at him and Alec, but I didn't want to stress myself. Not anymore. They can both go to hell. "Not talking to me? That's funny because last time I checked, Alec is the one you saw about to fuck that girl in his bedroom." He growls and I understand that it isn't fair for me to blame just him when Alec did far worse. I give him a small smile and pat the edge of the bed so he can sit. His face softens and I rest my hand on his back as he sits down on the bed.
"Do you remember what happened?" He asks not looking in my direction.
"I remember you and Alec fighting and I fell on something."
"How did you fall?"
" When I saw you guys fighting. I wanted to break you two up and I forgot the window was so high and I took a step. The next thing I knew I wasn't on solid ground for a couple of seconds and then I was again."

"Well, the doctor said you should be okay to walk again so if you wanna you can." There's a long pause.

"Thanks. I'll be out in a min-"

"Since you'll be out, I have outfits here so you can get dressed," Apollo interrupts and I give him a look, none of skepticism but with amazement.

"How'd you know that I was going to I'll leave the room now. I could've said no. Shoot," I flash a smile and pull the thin sheets off of me. I just wanted to sleep now, but I wanted to get up and start moving or I'll end up a fat pregnant lady. My mind runs on my parents and how worried they are right now, hopefully they can track my scent so I can get the hell out of this place.

After Apollo leaves, I unfold the clothes he gave me to find an oversized red sweater with tight yoga pants. Really? Tight yoga pants? Along with fuzzy socks and a scarf. I put each item on slowly because my body is still sore from Alec pulling out the needles and my head is pounding.

"Can you hurry up? I'm hungry, and I think you are too."

"No I'm no..." Just then my stomach starts to grumble and my mind convinces me that food wouldn't be the worst thing in the world right now. Plus, I'm eating for three now and I want them both to be strong when they're born because they're going to be born with a complicated life as it is. My head is still pounding so I grab Apollo's hand as we walk to steady myself. My legs are numb, and I can barely feel them with each step I took. My fingers are swollen and my headache spreads to my eyes and then to the bridge of my nose. I close my eyes hoping for the pain to go away.

"Here," Apollo hands me a container full of pills. The rattles sends a shiver down my spine.

"No. I can't." I place them back in his hands and take a deep breath. The carpets are plush in the halls, and the walls are towering above me, it's the first time I've actually paid attention to their home. It's so spacious and yet I felt trapped, something told me that I wasn't going to be leaving this house any time soon. The smell of food clouds my nose and my instinct is to run towards the food and so I did. It was a large area, bigger than Alec's bedroom, but I'm too busy throwing food on my plate to focus on décor.

"Hungry I see,"

"And it's of your concern why?" I turn around to Apollo's father.

"When my son's mate is pregnant with the future of the werewolf population I'll continue to be considered. Oh wait! You are." He flashes an evil smirk and I groan piling sausages onto my plate.

"Dad, leave her alo-"

"Don't act like you're innocent you son of a bitch." Alec's voice rings clearly in my ears and the room grows eerily quiet. Apollo and Alec are facing each other and Alec's eyes are glowing yellow and I start to worry that yet another sibling brawl is going to break out.

"Calm down, big bro. I'm just comforting your mate," Apollo wraps his arms around my waist.

"Oh, and I already seem to be hearing your pups' heartbeats. They're quite strong. Wonder what Esmerelda will think of this?" Apollo's smile grows wider and I have a feeling the tension will grow thick enough to be visible.

"Who the hell is Esmerelda?" I ask, moving Apollo's arms off of me and suddenly a sharp pain lands on me, spreading from my stomach to my head. The plate shatters onto the floor.

"My babies." I muffle, my vision blurring by the second. I felt like I was suffocating and nobody was helping me. What the hell is going on? Why am I so helpless all the time?

I just want to go home.
