"Vallly!" The voice sounded like it belonged to Melody. One of them jumped on the bed and toppled onto me with a squeal. I get up and find all of them circling me, Danaya was at the corner sniffing things. Weird. I cover myself realizing that I'm still naked.
"Where were you? You just left." Jennifer pouted.

"She was sleeping in my mate's bed. Hopefully not with him." I grimaced at the thought. Tobias was handsome, but he wasn't for me. He wasn't Alec. I soon realize Alec isn't in the room. As if last night was a dream. Our vodka cups were gone and so were the bottles. My head starts to pang thinking of the alcohol and queasiness settles in my stomach

"It smells like sex in here," Dawn looks around, suspicion covered her eyes. I understood, she didn't want anyone doing the freaky in here other than her and Tobias. The others agreed. Danaya looked at me and scratched her nose. Am I giving away anything? I smooth my hair and wipe my face. "My brother was in here." Danaya says, walking towards the bed. She isn't scared anymore I could tell, she seemed a lot more furious.

"Can you guys leave for a second. I have to talk to Danaya," they stand there like fools and Jennifer crosses her arms, "Now, please." I only add the please because this truly is Dawn's room by right now but she gets up and the rest of them follow her in a line. Army brats. When the door closes, Danaya throws my torn Cat suit on the bed.
"What the hell, Valentina." She spits out my name like it was poison, her fists shaking and clenched. "I'm sorry, but he's my mate."

"I know." She sighs rubbing her temples.

"What? How?"

"We all know. My whole pack knows. You think I came here by choice. I was sent by my mother to protect you from Alec. From my pack."

"Why? How does your pack already know?" I pull the sheets closer nearly ripping the linen.
"Alec is the next in line for Alpha. My mother is a witch as well as a wolf and she envisioned you way before you were born." I open my mouth to speak, but no words come out. I knew things would happen to me once people found out our lead pack has a wolf that's my mate, but the Alpha? My father would never forgive me. Tobias either. "Please be careful. And never let Alec get in your pants.... suit so quickly. I know it's hard, but for me just stay away from him. There's more to him than meets the eye." She warns and pats my hand.

I wipe the sweat beads collecting on my forehead and lie back down. I have ballet in a couple of hours but my entire body was sore from last night. Danaya leaves the room without another word leaving me with million questions in my head. Images of last night leaves a warmth inside me that I curl back into the covers trying to replay that magical moment. "Can you get up. Ballet starts in a half hour." I jump up and remember I'm naked so I cover myself again I could've sworn ballet started in a couple of hours. Eclipse was leaning on the door picking her nails. "Do you have any clothes to give?" I ask, my skin became blotchy. Eclipse opens her mouth like she discovered an ancient fossil. "Spill. The rest of them went to get brunch." She hops back on the bed and cuddles on the pillows.

"I hooked up with Danaya's brother last night." I ruffle my hair and slam my head back onto the bed with a thud.
"Vallyy!" Eclipse shrieks. I study her face to see if she's angry or happy, you can never tell with her. "Do you know what your father is going to say if he finds out? And dude is he like your mate?" Her face were multiple emotions at once, and I stuck with jubilant as her main emotion for the sake of the Earth. "Well I don't think I'll tell my dad, and no he's not my mate." I lie, a knife twists in my stomach. I never lie to my friends or anyone of the pack, that was forbidden taboo.
"Liar,"
"Wha-," My cheeks flush and I cover my face with the covers, "I know when you lie. You bite your bottom lip and your cheeks get pinker than my tongue." I laugh nervously. "Promise not to tell. It's more complicated than what you may think."
