"You idiot! You've just made yourself targets so they can get to me!" I yelled at Luke as the last demon fell. Eric grabbed my arm as I tried charging at Luke.

"Wait, you're mum?" Ruben asked a distance behind me. I turned to face him, my face softening. I nodded little and he grinned running and hugging me tightly. I hugged back. Calum cleared his throat, his vampire form visible. Ruben broke away from the hug as I got tackled to the floor.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now." He growled.

"I don't have one, you know I'd never have a good reason. I know I've done you and Ruben wrong. But it's for your own good." I whispered just as Eric teleported me away from Calum, only by a few metres.

"Oh, so you've fucked off with the demon who tried killing me, who tried killing Michael?" He yelled. I shook my head.

"Calum shut up, you don't know anything on why I left," I yelled back, tears falling. "Eric, I want to go." I whimpered and he nodded.

"Wait, you could explain it to us at least, why you left and why you plan on leaving," Jayden yelled running over and grabbing my arm.

"I can't, me telling you will kill you. Eric can only provide safety for Luke." I whispered. She pushed me away.

"I can't believe you, what happened to best friends? What happened to me and you against the world?" She yelled. I flinched back.

"Dad, Jayden... If mum wants to leave, let her. It's her choice, she's someone who lives and makes her own decisions. If she says it'll put us in danger, then that's her views." Ruben walked up to me and hugged me tightly. "You do realise we would all fight for you if that is what it came down to, right?"

"Ruben, that's not your choice," I whispered and he nodded.

"I know, but I hear them all now, they all agree. Bar dad, he's a bit pissed off."

"Ruben, mind your language!" I laughed, he chuckled.

"You just keep safe okay mum?"

We walked down the streets of Cali still.

From; Luke

They still want to find you, they want you to come back and explain. I suggest keep running, they're trying to get information out of me right now.

I sighed and pondered over the message as we stopped at the traffic lights before we could cross.

To; Luke

Tell them as long as they accept the risks that come with that responsibility and just let them know that I can't be there to help protect everyone, I've still got to move about.

I then turned my phone off as we walked across the road again.

Calum

Luke then told us what the whole situation of what happened. His secret was now out. He seemed a lot chirpier than usual, until he said one more thing.

"She said even though you guys now know, she's got to move about still," Luke whispered and that's when my hand went through the wall.

"She's a bitch, she can't just up and leave us like that repeatedly." I choked out, tears falling. I ran out the hotel within seconds and onto the streets, changing my speed to human speed and colliding with someone.

"Calum, w-what are you doing?" Her voice whispered, and I sobbed harder. She helped me up, and another hand touched my back, that was bigger than hers, and suddenly we were in the commotion of the hotel room again.

It went silent as soon as she started leading me to the separate room that had my bed in. She sat me down gently on it and sat beside me.

"Just let it all out." She whispered and hugged me tightly, which then meant more sobs came out. She rubbed my back softly playing with my hair as she rocked sideways. Which then meant due to energy being drained from sobbing, I fell asleep against her.

I woke up in someone's arms, which was weird because, with that scent, she would normally be in my arms. I wasn't used to it.

"It's six pm, everyone's gone out to get food." She whispered I nodded sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I met her blue ones, which held tears in them. I leant forwards slightly, cupping her face and kissing her softly. That's when her tears fell. I picked her up and sat her on my lap and she clung to me as we kissed softly.

--

She whispered something to me.

"I can't protect any of you anymore, I don't have the power to." She whimpered. "I'm weak."

"What do you mean?" I whispered tracing shapes on her back.

"I'm not a hybrid anymore, I don't have the powers I used to. I'm just a werewolf."

"Is that another reason why you left?" I asked and she nodded.

"I'm no use to anyone if I can't save them."

--

Everyone else came back as Alyx finished cooking the pancakes and dancing around in just a shirt of mine and her underwear. Which I wasn't complaining at watching.

We sat on the counter eating the pancakes as everyone walked in eyeing us up.

"You two had sex didn't you?" Michael grinned, ear to ear.

Ruben's face went several shades of red and so did Alyx's.

"Michael stop, you're embarrassing Alyx and Ruben." I chuckled and he laughed and winked at me before he stole a pancake off my plate.
